If you are receiving disability then you can give an employer or employment agency your "Ticket to Work" and then your income wont effect your disability for over 6 months and the employer or agency receives money as an incentive to place you on a job. Without knowing your job history or what the disability is makes suggesting specific jobs impossible. Try going to your local unemployment office. If you were laid off for no fault of your own there is also the Workforce Investment Act - Dislocated Worker program that can pay for training / tuition or pay an employer part of your wages for so many months as a bribe to hire you.

Do you want to start the same rat race all over again? Maybe you could try owning your own business and If that is not yor thing then Focus on what you truly enjoy doing and go after that and the rest will take care of it self. Good luck. Charles

If you worked at a company/business for over 20 years and they let you go over a disability (not sure if that is the reason), you have a solid case for wrongful dismissal.

Talk to a lawyer.

You need to narrow things down some - what type of work are you qualified for, able to do, and want to do?

Good luck.
