I cannot believe how many of you are making light of this! It may be old to you, but I am a mom of a grade schooler. And I never played this as a child. It was dangerous back then, and it is still dangerous now.

Thank you for letting us know. I was not aware of this. My husband has grandchildren that makes me want to be aware of this stuff. It is new to me because I would never imagine a little kid would do something like this! My kids who are grown did not do this. I thought throwing their homework into the garbage after school was bad! It is good that you are a mother who is aware of this! May God bless you for your love and concern for children!

That one has been around for AGES. Parents have an uphill battle: just when you think kids have thought of every damned crazy thing there is to do, a new one comes along. I had a friend who lost her brother to "elevator surfing."
Tried it once as a kid - some kid told us that it was cool to stand and squat 3 times and then cut off your breathing on the last stand. It did nothing for me and seemed pretty damned stupid at the time.

I've heard of that and, as a matter of fact, played it when I was a kid. No adults ever talked to me about it when I was a kid because I guess it wasn't a very commonly known "game".

my neighbours grandson died about 2 yrs ago doing that. he was only 12. it was terribly sad. he was doing it alone in his bedroom. we live in a small town, so we were all shaken up. i talked to my kids about it, and i hope they never try it.
and ya, when i was in highschool people did it all the time - right in the school hallways. i never did, but i saw it often. scary isn't it?

This has been around for a long time. I remember my parents freaking out about it and I have never done it. My friends and I were more into other substances to alter our sense or reality.

thanks for bringing this up again. It may be old, but if it is still being played it needs to stop. If even 1 child died due this horrible game, it must be stopped. What is this world coming too, that since it was done when we were kids, there is nothing wrong with it.

it's been happening since the beginning of time, my grandfather played this game as a kid....
