What is the main theme of these omittance?

2007-11-26 03:09:42 · update #1

Am I really lying? The theme would be the omission of the fact there are evil spirits, the removal of the fear of God and the denial of the Trinity.

Deuteronomy 4:2
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

I stay with the 1611 King James Version it is tried and true.

Since it was introduced to me a few months ago by brother "don s" I do sometimes refer to the NASB for my own personal reference. I always try to stay with the KJV when teaching or wittnessing because I have seen the power of God be revealed from believeing it. It is the Word of God. The Holy Ghost give us understanding if we seek him first to reveal to us instead of what somebody else "thinks" it should translate to.

The NIV, along with most modern translations, use the Greek New Testament edited by Wescott & Hort (or Nestle-Aland). This version is also known as the Alexandrian Text. It is the oldest Greek New Testament manuscript available.

The KJV and the NKJV use the Received Text (aka Textus Receptus and Antiochan Text). There are subtle differences between the two, and there are good arguments on both sides about the reliability of either text.

One thing to note is this: Even with the minute differences in these texts, there are only 40 lines of disputed text, which is remarkable for any ancient manuscript. None of these differences affect any doctrine that the historic Christian faith adheres to.

A good parallel Bible can show the differences and similarities at the same time, page by page. You will notice that the differences are minor.

Some of the NIV has footnotes: "some of the early manuscripts doesn't have these verses". My NIV does. It doesn't mean they are not important but it's not necessarily needed because what's more important in the Bible is God's message about grace, salvation, and forgiveness. The early manuscripts doesn't have them but it doesn't mean it's lying, corrupted, changed, or incomplete...they just don't see the need to add them.

Without doing the proper research, I'd say that those verses exist only in less "trustworthy" codices i.e. they may only be in the Vulgate but not in the Greek.

I would do some research in the the versions that have those verses as well as those that do not, and check what sources they were translated from. This should clear up your confusion.

Those verses have no unified theme, when read in context of the chapters you've pulled them from.

I'm sure you could twist them together though, if you ignore their contextual meaning. But that would be lying on your part.

---------------

Yes, you would be lying.

Most of those verses have nothing at all to do with the existence of evil spirits.

Instead putting 'Matt 17:21' into BibleGateway.com, you should read the entire chapter. In this case, yes, it does refer to evil spirits, in context. But only a few of these verses do so, taken in context of the chapter in which they are foun.

This is one of the reasons why I don't rely on the NIV, but I do own one a NIV study Bible, It is supoosed to be a "Meaning for Meaning" translation as opposed to a "Word for word " Translation.

Yes.

Those verses were not deleted from the NIV since they were never in the NIV to start with.

Verses do not appear in NIV unless they appear in the oldest Greek and Hebrew manuscripts. The verses you list above are examples of that.

The NASB Translation is said to be the most accurate Bible translation of today. It is so accurate that those who are studying Greek are using it instead of the Greek.Your NIV is full of deception as well as many other translations. Please don't be fooled by it. Stay with KJV or NASB.

In an attempt to thwart God's plan Satan's disciples have rewritten the Holy Bible to give God's word a completely different meaning so people won't understand the true message of God's word.
Take for example in Genesis Chapter 6 verse 2 in the King James Version bible it says: That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair and they took them wives of all which they chose.
In Job chapter 38 verse 7 in KJV it says When the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God sang for joy?

Now in my New Living Translation Bible they conceal the fact that the sons of God are angels in Job chapter 38 verse 7 where it says: as the morning stars sang together and the angels shouted for joy?

And the reason for this is in the King James version in chapter six it speaks about the sons of God taking women here on earth and having offspring with them who became giants and the reason for this was Satan wanted to contaminate human DNA with fallen angels DNA to produce half breeds in an attempt to prevent the Messiah from having a human in which to give birth to Him so He could save us.
They don't want you to know that that's why they try and tell us in church that the sons of God are descendants of Cain and that's why humanity fell into sin.
In fact if it hadn't been for Noah God would have had to flood the earth killing every living thing on it and all of us would have been doomed and Satan's plan would have worked.
But God preserved Noah who was found unblemished in his generations meaning he wasn't a halfbreed and through him God was able to continue the human race after killing all the Nephilites
And when the offspring between human women and fallen angels died they could not enter into the place of comfort where everyone went to await the sacrifice of the Messiah so they went to hell and became demons.

Then here's another fact they try to hide from us.
In my King James Version bible in Genesis chapter 22 verse 7 it says: And Isaac spake unto his father Abraham and said,"My father" and he said "Here I am my son" and he said "Behold the fire and the wood:but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?"
And Abraham said:"My son God will provide Himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

In my New Living Translation bible it tries to conceal that Jesus is God and would sacrifice Himself by adding only one word.
Isaac turned to Abraham and said "Father?" "Yes,my son?" Abraham replied. "We have the fire and the wood but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?"
"God will provide for Himself a lamb for a burnt offering"

By adding the word 'for' they changed the entire meaning of Abraham's prophecy of God sacrificing Himself for our sins.

So yes Satan is hard at work these days trying to thwart Gods perfect plan but its a pathetic attempt because God became victorious over Satan the moment Jesus died on the cross for our sins.
So be careful which bible you chose to study because many of them have been corrupted by the evil doers disguised as men or women serving God when really they serve Satan.
