The street gangs are only tough when they are in a group, and outnumber someone, or a doing a drive-by shooting. They wouldn't stand a chance against any biker organization hand to hand.

both are gangs, no one wins. The Vietnam war was fought by American GI's not gang members. The US of A is not a gang country, nor are the military and have no need of it. 2 kinds of viet vets, and most are clean cut business folks with a military past. Like most Iraq vets are the same, servicemen and women, not gang menbers. I have yet to see any gang that has a directive of Honor.

I'm leaning towards the bikers because - they take care of business any where necessary while gangs tend to stay with in their perimeter .
Also - bikers are Honorable and gangs are not.
Recently - Ft.Dodge , IA. suffered it's first causality of war in Iraq , a whole lot of bikers assembled themselves together and es-courted our fallen hero home. Bikers had about 187 miles. of wind and honor for this boy - Sargent and made sure , every passer-bye Knew - They were bringing a king home....

Biker gangs as a rule are larger and more unified in what they do. I would guess their unit dynamic would give them the advantage.

At least at one point during Vietnam, the highly-patriotic Hell's Angels broke up an anti-war rally with force, they charged through the police lines and attacked the protesters.
About that same time one of the leaders of the Hell's Angels volunteered to lead a group of them into Vietnam as a commando unit with no mercy for the Viet Cong. The President turned down their suggestion.

A funny news story from a couple years ago:

Five members of the Skulls Biker Gang walked into a Hell's Angel's convention. They were armed with chains, pipes, and even an Uzi. They walked into the convention center and met over 1,000 Hell's Angels...
Good thing for the Skulls the police got to them before the Hell's Angels could.

my dad is a biker and so are my brothers and cousins i have seen them face off and i'm sorry to say they would win if they faced off with a street gang but on the flip side of the coin the one thing my dad and brothers have taught me about all this is fighting is only a last resort you don't do it unless you absolutely have to .

The law abiding general population wins big here.

Bikers clean out bars, take willing ladies "hostage" from their men, and sell everyone drugs and then cheat them blatantly.

I am guessing the bikers would win if they had an equal amount of people on their side.
