Vicious Pitbull?

Question

So I figured I'd share a picture of two of my dogs a very small chihuhua and a rednose pit. He's just so mean isn't he?

well laura D...... I have four now and I did have 16 for almost 2 years. and none of them will be put to sleep. I think that you should keep that opinon to yourself. How would you feel if someone else decided that you should die today?

Okay people. Any breed can attack a human or animal, its not just pitbulls. Granted they may do more damage, (which I dont believe) but as I said before who are you to decide when a life should end? If someday my dogs were to kill me, then so be it. I love them and they haven't hurt anyone and if they ever do, that is when actions will be taken, but not before. So your opinions are not ignored, just not listened to =]

Haha. I love playing with the pits at the shelter I work at. I always take their face in my hands and say "You're such a vicious pit bull!". One dog, Rocky, would always lick me whenever I said that. The rest just stand there and wag their tail.

We once had an ex-fighter who was so afraid she had to be carried anytime she went out for a walk. She wasn't exactly a light dog either. But so many people would freak out when they saw me carrying her outside. "Aren't you afraid she'll bite you?" (as I'm putting her on the ground, where she would immediately get as close to me as she could or jump up against me and lean on me, tail going a thousand miles an hour).

Real scary. Let me tell you. Terrible breed.

Every owner says "he's the sweetest thing" "he's gental" "blah blah blah" on their "adorable" pitbull kills a child or eats another dog. Most pitbulls are not wired right in thier heads because of improper, or ghetto, breading. They've been bread for too long for dog fighting. Even back in the day they were bread to intimidate bulls. I do animal assisted therapy, and we strongly suggest to look at the animal's background before introducing ANY animal to children or other people. The animal assisted therapy of the year a couple of years ago actually was a pitbull so I'm not putting any specific dog down, but I would watch the dog intensely and never leave the pitbull with children or other dogs. I don't really have neighbors as I am in the country, but our closest one just had her dog killed by a pitbull stray. For some reason, these dogs have a small threshold to where they will snap.

Yea Laura D is just one example of the ignorant people out there that rely solely on stereo types to form their opinions. Its too bad bc your babies are adorable and all bully breeds that I have ever known/owned are the most loyal dogs in the world. I have never been been bitten or even nipped at by my pit mix, he is a big baby! The only dog I have ever been afraid of was a collie my dad had when I was a kid, she would try to bite all the time!

Its a shame that pitbulls got a bad rep. And many people dont realize a pit bull is one of the most loyal dogs a person can have. Its the idiots out there that train them to be vicious. you can train about any other type of dog and fight him/her just as much a pit bull. Stereotypes plague society thats one of mankinds down falls beside greed.

That is cute I have a Pit and a Pom and 6 cats and the Pit is as gentle as can be when I brought new kittens home he was the only one who would play with them the other cats hissed and batted at them they sleep on my Pit all the time.

Very cute picture. Thanks for putting that out there. Our fmaily Pit Bull is the biggest sweet heart and so many people think that ALL Pit Bulls are vicious which is NOT TRUE. I know many Pit Bulls and not one of the 13 is in any way mean. Our Pit Bull adores my Lab, snuggles with my Guinea Pig and loves kids.

A poodle, lab or great dane can be just as dangerous as a Pitbull. Do your homework thoroughly, instead of allowing the media to cloud your mind!

If we put violent people to sleep there would be thousands of protesters lined up but instead we want to put a whole breed of dogs to sleep because of a few bad owners. Do you always believe what the media tells you? If so, please don't vote!

I have a teeny chihuahua too and a staffordshire, and my chihuahua is definately the top dog even though he is much smaller...it's really funny...but they play and sleep together, and are pretty much like brothers.
