If you read the Bible, you will find over 60 references to "dinosaurs" in it. As the word "Dinosaurs" was invented until the late 1800s, the Bible uses the older word "dragons" to refer to them.

In the Bible, "dragons" are often used to refer to something that is desolate and forsaken. That is because at the time those people wrote, there were no living dinosaurs. Rather they found the bones and fossils in "desolate" places the same as we do today. They were smart enough to be able to "reconstruct" what those creatures where like from the shape of the remains, just as we do today.

There are some references in the poetry of Psalms and Job that make it sound as if at least two types of dinosaurs were still known at the time. One (Behemoth) appears to be a bird-hip type land animal. The other (leviathan) a sea creature. But whether these are actually alive at the time, or only know from bones and remains is unclear.

There is no specific mention of interaction between a human and a dinosaur in the historical parts of scripture. There are a couple places in the poetry where it ask things like "can a man tame a dragon?". But whether that is literal or figurative can be debated.

The Bible does seem, in the first two verses of Genesis, to present a "gap" between the initial creation and the six days of Genesis. There may well have been a creation before the time of Adam, which was ruled by angels rather then humans, included dinosaurs and other such plants and animals, and was destroyed when satan rebelled against God and was cast down to earth. The six days of Genesis may be the repopulating of the earth rather then the initial creation.

But keep in mind that the Bible was never intended to be a science textbook. It is a book about the nature of God and relationship with man. The book already runs nearly the length of all 7 Harry Potter novels. So since the existence of dinosaurs really did not have much to do with the nature of God or his relationship will man, why would God waste a lot of time on the subject? If there was little to no interaction between dinosaurs and humans, it does not affect man's slavation.

It does appear, from both the Bible and science, that dinosaurs (dragons) existed at some point in the earliest history of earth. How far back (as there are no dates in the Bible) is unclear. But the Bible writers did know about them, and have enough knowledge to describe them (see Job 40,41). How much actual interaction took place between them is not stated. So nothing in the existence of dinosuars automatically makes the Bible "fake".

Well considering no dinoraurs ate any of our historical figures including those in biblical times I say they came first! As for King James I don't say he "made it up" but those who put it together sure had an influence on what books made it in and what books did not and why. There is a great series on the history channel about this very thing you should check it out!

Dinosaurs came first. Both the fossil record, carbon dating, historical and archaeological research confirm this.

Dinosaurs are more than 50 million years old.
Biblical texts were not in existence until relatively recently and the earliest are 5 000 to 6 000 years old.
You have to exercise quite a good amount of bad faith to try to deny this.

Dinosaurs came first. In Genesis it actually says that the animals that God made at that time were "made after their kind." How can something be made after it's kind, unless something similar had existed previously? The modified DNA structure of prehistoric animals was used to make modern animals.

Dinosaurs lived at least 65 million years ago. Biblical times was about 1900 to 2900 years ago. It's really not a matter of opinion (at least not reasonable differences of opinion).

This has nothing to do with "belief" or opinion. The first books of the Bible were written somewhere around the 12th century CE and dinosaurs existed many millions of years ago. These are hard, verifiable facts.

Saying that this is a matter of opinion is like asking "What is your opinion about water being made up of hydrogen and oxygen".

The Bible spans a time period from around 5000 years ago to about 1900 years ago.

Dinosaurs spanned a time period from about 230 million years ago to 65 million years ago.

Obviously, dinosaurs are much older.

Dinosaurs came long before man! They lasted much longer than man probably will. I don't care that you find the Bible a complete fake..I just wonder if you have read it?

The...dinosaurs. No, Kind James didn't make up the Bible. The Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic manuscripts were around before that translation.

Evolution says that dinosaurs were here before mammals and since the Bible is full of humans I would have to say the dinos came first!
