I think that the 60GB PS3 is the better buy even though it costs the same as the 80GB PS3. Basically the only advantage of buying a 80GB PS3 is a free game that comes packaged with the console, but the 60GB PS3 has more backward compatibility with both PS1 and PS2 games, and that's worth having because the 80GB PS3 can't play as many PS1 and PS2 games.

Really, I think that the 60GB PS3 is more desired right now because of the increased backward compatibility and the fact that they were discontinued. I've even seen several questions on Yahoo Answers last week of people asking where could they find a 60GB PS3 in a store and not online.

I own the 60GB and I think that it's better than the 80GB PS3.

in case you do no longer want backwards compatibility, eighty gigs of stressful force area, memory card reader, and geared up in WiFi, then you definately could get the 40 gig PS3. The 40 gig is backwards nicely suited with PS1 video games yet no longer PS2 video games. Edit: The 40 gig comes with a on the spot controller. Sony did no longer make under pressure out controllers for his or her PS3 in any respect. desire I helped.

i would just get the 80 gig cause its the same price and sony stopped making 60 gigs, unless you want a 40 gig for cheaper.

60 GBs. I bought a 60 GB last week and it came with a free wireless controller and 5 free blue ray dvds. I doubt I'll be using 60 GB anytime soon so I got the smaller hard drive but the free controller and 5 dvds which was cool. That was at circuit city also.
