I'm philosophically opposed to lying, so no. I would try like hell to get out of there and go somewhere with religious freedom.

Hmmm, this is a God question because in certain countries the penalty for professing that Jesus is Lord is imprisionment. And people in those countries still proclaim Jesus. I suppose if you believed strongly that there was no God and believed the government was corrupt and that you didn't want to conform, you would say no. I would say yes, if it were me, but I believe in God anyway. I would still profess my faith in Jesus even if the penalty were death, too.

I am a believer, but I believe in multiple Gods and Goddesses. Would I lie? Yep. Sometimes I just keep quiet because I know the people I am with believe very strongly in their belief system. An argument just wouldn't help. I also have a hubby and a daughter who believes differently than I do. They know my beliefs but we don't discuss it regularly.
I personally see nothing wrong with self-preservation when dealing with nuts.

Yeah sure, why not. Rest assured that I would promptly leave said country. I think I'd rather live in North Korea than a misogynistic country like the one I think you are describing.

That's what non-believers had to do for centuries. I personally am too stupid to lie---and I catch a lot of flack in this Bible-Belt, Bible-Thumping part of the country for saying exactly what I think--- until they realize I'm impaired, and cut me some slack.

People say what they have to say to get by in life. It also seems today a lot of people claim God but don't walk the walk. Yes, I would say whatever I needed to say and go about living my life.

No, I would never deny God before men. He has done everything for me, so if I denied him, I would end up dying from the guilt. And if you deny God before men, Jesus will deny you before the father.

To save my life, I'd be a Shetland Pony if that's what it takes. But I'd also start looking for a new country.
