people dont kill for fairy tales.... only the myths in the bible

a fairy tale is a more contempory form of the stories and parables told in the bible. Unfortunately, most people use the term "fairy tale" to imply something is not true. Fairy tales are metaphores, especially H.C.Andersens tales. His story of The Nightingale is a metaphore for the higher emotional center, which only becomes active in the third state of consciousness. The Little Mermaid, (not that imbecile Walt Disney's version) is a story of a person who tries and SUCCEEDS in penetrating a higher state of consciousness. The Ugly Duckling is about starting out in life with only two states of consciousness available to one and through certain work, managing to lift your consciousness into another realm. Pinnochio starts out his life AS A PUPPET but his actions allow him to become a REAL PERSON.

The Bible just approaches these ideas from a slightly different direction.

A fairy tale, or folktale is a regional story that gives a one or two dimensional morality lesson (like Hansel and Gretel for example).

The Bible is mythology ... this is an external expression of the collective unconscious and gives a guide for emotional stability to a whole culture of people .... more similar to other mythologies like Arthurian Legend, or the Ramayana, or the Norse Eddas.

Fairy tales are man made myths to entertain children. The Bible is inspired by God. It is his revelation of himself and the theme of the bible is the redemption of sinful man through faith in Jesus Christ. That "is" the greatest story every told.

The Gospel

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 says, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”

In a nutshell, that is the belief of Christianity. Christianity is unique among all other faiths, because Christianity is more about a relationship, rather than religious practice. Instead of adhering to a list of “dos and don’ts,” the goal of a Christian is to cultivate a close walk with God the Father. That relationship is made possible because of the work of Jesus Christ, and the ministry in the life of the Christian by the Holy Spirit.

Unfortunately the main difference is that people think the Bible is the word of god, while everyone knows that other fairy tales are just that.

the bible is the:

Basic

Before
Leaving
Earth

a fairy tale is a story or myth, like about fairies.

The greatest story ever told, was a movie about the Gospel.

The main difference between myth and fact is provability.

Archeology, historical docs, prophecies coming true...this is why the bible still stands after 1000's of years.

I have seen this proof, but ive yet to see a fairy

Fairy tales are based on real life events just slightly more then the bible and like the bible evil people such as Disney rewrite them and everyone believes that is how the story really was.

Fairy tales have happy endings. There are some similarities though - the witches usually wind up getting burned - just like in Christianity!

A fairy tale often begins with Once upon a time, and ends with They lived happily ever after.

Innocent people don't get stoned to death, burned at the stake, or tortured for a fairy tale unless that fairy tale is the biblical fairy tale

Fairy tales are for children. The bible is for adults who can not separate fact from fiction. Children whom believe in the bible only do so because they have been brainwashed by an adult.
