Do you know that the ocean sucks up Carbon Dioxide? Since the Industrial Revolution it has increased by 30 percent.

The ocean actually absorbs it and it all settles deep in the bottom of the ocean. However, a disruption to the ocean and if that should ever rise to the surface would be catastrophic.

THE PROBLEM IS EARTHQUAKES...and the CO2 will all MARINE LIFE. It already is.

Some species are extinct already.

And I mean earthquakes shake it up too, but that's another story.

Eve - the ability of the ocean to do that is decreasing all the time. As ocean waters warm, they can hold less CO2. CO2 keeps increasing faster and faster.

CO2 acts in TWO ways. In can cause global warming through the greenhouse effect, and it is released from ocean waters as they warm. That is very basic and undisputed science.

Past warming started for other reasons (generally the Sun) and CO2 followed after a lag of several hundred years, as it was released from warming oceans.

The current warming is different from any past warming. THERE IS NO LAG. CO2 and temperature are going up together, proving this warming is caused by CO2.

Did you think you had some data and insight thousands of Ph.D. climatologists were blind to?

Hahah, wow. Okay, first off, yes you're right, when the oceans cool, they "suck up" CO2, when they warm, they release it.

Now, I don't believe that global warming doesn't exist, it does, but that man is causing it is called into question. It is so ignorant of us to think that the planet's climate has always been the same! At the moment, we are at the peak of a NATURAL warming cycle, top climate scientists have even admitted this.

Also, your tone and manner suggests to me that you are a teenager or young adult, any self respecting, knowledgeable adult would not react to people in such a way. You being that age proves that there are people on here more knowledgeable than you, please, think before you write, your tone only makes you sound stupid which I am sure you do not want to be thought of as.

However, I do believe that we should care for the planet, resources are limited after all.

if you had written your educational
qualification + experience with the details, then it would be interesting to judge your knowledge about the global warming. most of the peopel put lots faith on the scientists who claim the global warming as a serious problem. but there are quite a lot factors that govern the earths environment, that you should also keep in mind! do you know what is the % of CO2 in air ?and how much it has risen? did you do any experiment to varify it ?(0.02% co2 in air) 30 % rise implies increase of 0.006% . Thus 0.006+0.02=0.026%.did you go outdoors and see the nature ? have you seen any greenary growing without the human help? trees/plants fix much more co2 then even you produce and the co2 cylce is not at all disturbed. how many people have died of co2 increase ? you are idiot and also foolish at the same time.

That is about as inane a statement as I've read recently. The Vostok ice core data (see reference) shows conclusively that changes in atmospheric concentration of carbon dioxide NEVER precede changes in global temperature. In EVERY incidence of historical global warming in that record temperatures fall precipitously in the presence of the HIGHEST levels of carbon dioxide.

The absorption coefficient for CO2 in sea water, to which you poorly refer, is inversely proportional to temperature which is why atmospheric CO2 concentrations lag temperature changes. As the temperature rises, CO2 is released from the oceans. As the temperatures fall, CO2 is reabsorbed.

The only mystery here is why AGW proponents cannot accept the fact that all of the historical data indicate that CO2 has no effect on global temperatures. They continue to bleat ridiculous hypotheses that during this post-glaciation period the universe has changed and physical chemistry somehow no longer applies.

Please - Global warming is a reactive "science" where only past events can be explained using the "theory of global warming".

"Global warming" isn't happening like it was predicted, there hasn't been a year as warm as 1998, and since then the Earth has cooled.

Now "scientist" need to find an excuse to why they were wrong, so they turn to the oceans as the reason why "global warming" isn't happening like their computer models predicted.

Only suckers believe the hype.
