SPAGHETTI SAUCE & SAUSAGE
(Family reunion side)

2 lbs. ground beef chuck
2 lbs. mild Italian sausage
2 (48 oz.) jars spaghetti sauce
3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce with tomato bits
3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
Salt, pepper, garlic salt to taste
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. Italian seasonings
3 lbs. spaghetti

(I like to add mushrooms and cheese, ingredients can be halfed)

Cook ground beef in a large saucepan with salt, pepper and garlic salt. Add spaghetti sauce, tomato bits and tomato sauce, sugar and Italian seasoning. Cut sausage into 2 inch pieces and add to sauce. Simmer about 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Skim fat as it accumulates. Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Remove sausage from sauce. Ladle sauce on individual servings of cooked spaghetti and add portions of sausage. Serves 25.

Ground beef and smoked sausage? I've never tried it but it sounds interesting. Make sure you have a good sauce. Why don't you get some garlic bread to go with it.

Yes its good.
I make it this way if you are talking about a link sausage like Hillshire smoked beef sausage.Ive used both the smoked and polish with yummy results.
I slice them into bite size and cook in the sauce I usually make meaTballs but I dont know why just ground meat wouldnt work.
sounds good.
