I keep having nightmares all the time. I had at least 4 last night. And each one had to do with my kids or me being killed. My first one some guy broke into our home and stabbed my 1 year old in front of me, my second dream a guy stole my truck ( I don't have a truck) and he came back and shot me. Then another dream somebody took off with my 2 year old and killed him. And then in my last dream some guy was outside my window shooting at me trying to kill me. How can I stop having such graphic dreams about my family being killed? Does anybody know what the dreams stand for?

Our real life fears come to haunt us in our dreams if not dealt with in daily living. Perhaps you truly do fear for your family. If so, you must realize how to put those fears aside. . . a sort of 'let go and let God' attitude if you will, and make up your mind to NOT have those dreams anymore. Yes, you can stop bad dreams by dealing with every day life in a positive manner. Love your family more than you have in the past. Show them daily how much you love them.

It means your fears of your daily life are a bit out of control.
A lot of things can cause nightmares - heavy credit card debts, bills to pay, fear of someone actually doing horrible things physically to you and your family, fear of being violated by having your stuff stolen, or of being so completely helpless when things in your waking life are out of control.
There's a lot you can do to calm your fears. Address each fear one by one each week. Find a way to start paying off your debts (represented by your truck getting stolen - a real possibility when you haven't paid your car payment!) Work on saving money to move to a safer neighborhood (fear of someone shooting at you from outside) and start dropping friends and relationships you do not trust (fear of someone breaking in and stabbing your child.)
Work on developing relationships you do trust. Clear your debt. Repair damaged relationships with your parents.
And most of all, you fear that God does not and will not protect you from the evils in the world. So maybe it's time to start working on repenting of your sins and asking God's forgiveness, because deep down you fear that God does not love you by sending you such evil in your life. Work on your relationship with God, learn to forgive others of their sins as God forgives yours, (even those who committed horrible acts to you in your dreams!) and start putting goodness and light in your life to replace the evil and darkness that currently surrounds you. Seek peace in your soul. When you do this, your dreams will change and reflect your inner peace.
Good Luck and God Bless.
