do christians have any more right to try and convert everyone to christianity?

than moslems have to attempt to convert everyone to islam.personally i am disgusted by people who are unable to accept that others may have different beliefs and try to convert everyone to their own religion, why cant we allow people to have their own beliefs and respect them as human beings rather than keep insisting they are going to hell, surely it is their choice

please note i said MORE right. everyone has a right to freedom of speach but here it seems a lot of people dont recognise or accept the right of people to believe anything but christianity

Freedom of religion also means freedom from religion - a simple fact that many Christians overlook.

It is no coincidence that as Christians become more extreme and strident, governments and law enforcement agencies are forced to act.

Last Christmas Canada, Chicago and a number of other places acted under criminal law to reign back Christian extremists.

In England the universities have curtail led the religious unions for being discriminatory.

I always thought the Christian god was supposed to be loving and forgiving but you would never guess that from the Christian postings on here!!!!!!

I totaly agree! I hate when you get followers of religions come up to you in the street and harrass you. Religion is a personnal matter and a persons beliefs should be respected and not shoved down peoples throats. If anything they put people off their religion.
I will politely tell them no thankyou and walk away but many follow you and keep talking. I am happy following Asatru, Germanic Paganism. I don't force my beliefs onto others and don't appreciate it being done to me.

No Christians don't have more of a right to convert everyone than any other religion. They are just the one's who have gotten away with it the most (the Phillipines, South America, Africa etc.). Everyone's religion should be respected. The Mormons in my neighbourhood are always trying to convert me. It's the same ones over and over again too.

Christianity and Islam are both based on just a book. They feel insecure on being asked questions because they don't have any other proof. If anyone discovers something which disproves anything in their book, they try to silence those. People can get so fanatical about "the word" that they are ready to kill others if they don't agree with it.

This insecurity leads to fear that what they have been believing might not be true at all. But they don't want to even hear or think about it being wrong. Kill any messenger who even mentions otherwise, and try to get as many people in your religion so that it appears more credible, that appears to be the Mantra of these religions.

Nobody has the GOD given right to force or harass to death people of another religion . Yes they can preach at you once, no not a second time if you clearly said no thank you. If their religion is really the One then why do they have to be so pushy, the ONE true faith should be crystal clear to all and need no salesmen ( if there is one that is).

now any dectecive when having a crime to solve will have to examine all the evedience ,, ,, ye s all of the evedience of that which pertains to the crime has to be examined u seen cold case and miam csi ad ny csi we see all that is involved in investigating crimes.. / witnesses statements are each examined and reaximined to see if they be telling the truth.. ladies, men would u want someone lying to your friend and seing this happening and knowing its nottrue or even suspecting its not true not warn them about the possibilities??

You have stated a misconception. Christians do not convert anyone.

This mysterious conversion is a work of the Holy Spirit, the election of God....

Because if anyone can talk you into something, then they can be talked out if it.

Being saved and born again is a new being, a new life, not a religious conviction, rather a conversion.

The religious conviction comes in when men take something eternal and beautiful and thus apply human logic and reasoning, in essence, empire builders, not God facilitators.

Everybody needs to find their own way and it's not any ones business but theirs. I believe in God, I don't belong to a religion but I don't care if someone does. I don't worry about how other people believe. We are all different and differences does not equal right or wrong.

I agree with you...
but sadly its just the way the world is. No one truly accepts someone for who/what they are. We as humans will always see fault in someone else for one reason or another. It saddens me to know that nothing is Sacred anymore.
People will always have a reason not to like someone rather it be the color of there skin, there beliefs(or lack of them) or the social status. No one seams to realize none of that is really to matter.
