Your late husband's daughter? Are you in a new relationship now? Are there similarities between your current relationship and your relationship with your late husband?
I ask because snakes generally mean guy's 'man parts' in dreams. Fear of the snake is a fear within a sexual relationship. Going to the house of a former employer with your late husband's daughter means you are (I'm guessing here) entering into a new relationship and your experiences in the past are trying to warn you to be wary of your new relationship. Because your stepdaughter is not involved with this person, she has no need to fear, but because you are or want to be involved with this new person, your fears are coming out. You were going to 'his house' because that is a part or a step into getting involved with someone, going over to 'his house' to have illicit sex instead of yours - hence the snake, the representative of evil. You are walking into original sin with your eyes wide open despite your fears.
This is your own subconcious telling you to be a little wary before jumping in and having sex with a stranger. Why not take some time to get to know this new realtionship person as a human being first. You know, talk, go out, get to know his friends, before making a sexual committment to this person. Why not treat somebody like a human being instead of trying to get what you can out of them. Weird, I know, but work with me here - this is your subconcious trying to work out the implications as well as the possibilities of some man in your life. Relax, breathe, take some breathing space, and then decide you are ready. Your fears of this current or new relationship have much to do with whatever fears you had with your late husband as well as your former employer - there's a connection there. Dig deeper, ask questions, and find out that connection before you get too heavily involved, is what your dream is trying to tell you. When you find the source of your fear, you will be able to make a better choice.
Good luck.

for some reason you were guided by your late husbands daughter to a place that you now shun.....the snake is a symbol of evil....which the daughter was unafraid of but you were............if the daughter is a Christian she knows she has victory over Satan and can face fear because she is strengthened by God to accomplish His will.....What must you face with your ex-employer so that you can be free and live life fully?

My interpretation from my dictionary. telephone (may be cellular telephone) tells you about fierce competition coming to you in least predicted. Out of order (no numbers) could receive unhappy information.
