I think it's very beautiful.

I honestly don't like the sepia wash, I'd go with the straight B+W, and also the composition is poor, by that I mean the fence on the left, empty space on the right. A portrait, or any image for that matter, needs to clearly identify the subject without distraction. Next time have the photographer pay more attention to the edges of the frame to eliminate all distracting elements, and the results will be better.

It's a great family photo, I like the pose, and those kids are soooooo cute.

Wow DRAGOON, are you always this negative? The pic is a very nice family pic suitable for a wall portrait. I do agree you could burn in the mom's sweater a bit but the sepia wash out is a nice dreamy effect and I approve.

EDIT: following up on the post below, I didnt notice that you did the blue jean/sepia effect. In that regard you kinda screwed up -- the blue-in is incomplete on the mom and it really should be extended to the boy to "unify" them. So you need to re-edit to get this right, or just sepia-ize the whole thing.

The pose is good. However, it's overexposed blowing out the highlights, loosing detail, like the woman's sweater. The jeans being the only colored objects in the photo draws extra attention to an unimportant part of the photo. And the general fuzziness is distracting as well.

It's really nice, but I'd take the blue out of the blue jeans. It draws attention away from the faces. I found myself looking back and forth. It would be nice as straight black and white, or probably a little better as a sepia tone.

i'v only seenDRAAGON for the last day or so...pay no attention to him, he has his head up his hinder parts and doesn't know what he's talking about....
it is actually a very good family photo...deserves a frame and put on the wall somewhere.
and i like the sepia effect...my jury is still out on accentuating part of a b&w or sepia with colour, don't know if i like it or dislike it, but here it looks good, perhaps a pro would say it is placed a bit low in the frame, but it still doesn't take away.

I don't like how the mother's blouse is way over exposed. It looks like you were going for a high-key type effect...but it's a little too over the top for me.

I think the background would have been better without the fence in the background as well.

Personally I think it is way to 'blasted' as one has called it. It is just to dreamy for me overall but I believe that it is a great family photo for your home. I would have change the children's expressions. They do not look natural or relaxed but uncomfortable and inpatient to me. Especially the boy. He looks a little cramped and sad. I also agree with whoever that said that you need to unify them with the jeans effect.

I don't mean to be harsh or confusing. Just my opinion.

From all the other posters it must be obvious that liking or disliking is a personal thing.

The question is - do you like it? If you do, then it does not matter what others think.

If you don't like it, then either do it again (if you were the person who did the work) or ask the person who did it to change what you don't like.
