hi there i got our first kitten a month ago and he is now three months old, he came from a home that had other pets and he was absolutely fine around them... yesterday i got another kitten who came from a similar home but is just a month older than my other kitten. they are both males and obviously at first we a bit unsure of each other. they seem to want to fight at the moment but of course i am hoping they wil grow to love each other. just wondered if anybody else has had a similar thing. also will be getting them both neutered when they are old enough. thanks for any answers

They are play fighting at the moment. It's when they get to 2 or 3 years old you have to keep an eye on them because play fights can rapidly turn into serious ones. I've lost count of the occasions I've had to be referee and break up fights between our two toms and they were brothers.

hi.i also have two kittens one 6 months and one 3 months and both male.both were born at home.i have both their mothers and another male which is neutered as are the mothers now.at the moment the kittens are only really interested in each other.they sleep togther, eat together and play togther which can get rough but its natural.basically its practise for when they are bigger and defending their territory.its the the same as eg young male lions in the wild play fighting.they will grow out of it and stop altogether especially as you are getting them neutered.

Our two kittens fought nonstop for about a day then they fought only about half the time and it reduced MUCH to like they play fight. They sleep all curled up together and eat at the same time. IT worked out nicely.

Give them some time to work out their differences; supervise their fights and eventually th hubbub will go down

they are only kittens and still want to play they will get used to each other. getting them nutered is a very good idea as you dont want them to get violent towards each other when they are older but they sound like they are only playing at the moment

oooh two males??? they are kittens and yes, kittens fight, but with them both being males, they are probably fighting for dominance..... they hopefully will straighten out once they realize that neither one is going anywhere!!!
