Careers in computer games are pretty extensive. There are jobs in terms of programmers, software engineers, graphics artists and so on. Game designers tend to be less technical and more artistic, so there is a certain BS factor in the salaries. That is, the more BS you can spout the more money you make (like hollywood producers).
Salaries range a lot, but you can expect a career earning around $100,000 a year.
