Although life is not only wonderful happy moments, it is those precious moments when one touches anothers heart that stand out most. When we literally feel our hearts swell with joy and compassion that we remember most. They seem to make it all worthwhile. Wishing you one of those moments today.

I was recently invited to attend the dedication of a new home for children in Mexico. To see the joy on the faces of those children, all dressed in their blue uniforms, was out of this world beautiful! I wish it were possible to share some of the photos on here I took that day. Photos of a bright eyed girl of about 6 reaching out to a friend she saw. A girl about 10 just getting over the chicken pox but happy and bright eyed. A boy about 8 eating the frosting off a chocolate cup cake. Of several children singing and dancing as they circled around holding hands. Every child was a blessing to me and a joy to see.

Yes, that day my heart literally burst with the love, trust, and joy I saw in those children!

My most recent was more of a feeling of relief, and feeling like a weight had been lifted from my spirit. It was right before taking the sacrament yesterday (Sunday). It felt so good to be relieved of that pressure, that weight. The Spirit was there, and it felt so good. I can't say that I felt unadulterated joy, but I felt a peace that I hadn't felt in quite some time, and I knew that God loves me.

I heard about a man the other day who worked two jobs while his wife stayed home and took care of the household duties and raised their kids. He worked two jobs because he had to in order to earn enough income to feed his family, cloth them, and shelter them. He stated that his wife couldn't, wouldn't work because she had to take care of the house and the kids. He said that his wife thought that it was her duty as a mother to take care of her own children and that it was her duty as a wife to keep the house in order and be home to greet the man she loves and who loves and cares for her. He went on to say to the person who relayed it to me, that this is the way they where brought up by their parents and they will bring their own children up the same way. This touched me because it occurred to me that each was doing exactly what they where designed to do by the Great Creator. There was no petty self absorbency's going on in this relationship. It made my heart swell with joy to know that there are still people who know how to raise a functional family and will teach their children how to do the same. God Bless and keep that family!

My little boy recently lost his brand new video game for his Nintendo DS. He was literally heartsick. The neighbor found it and gave it back to him.
There is a place in heaven for people like that.

Having a young child to give hugs and kisses to.
Having a feline to care for. I actually enjoy feeding her and giving her water.
The idea of being around people who truly care about me.
The people who added me to their contacts and take time to write me and get to know me.
