Made hamburgers last night in the oven.
Put them in a zip lock bag to put in the fridge for leftovers - except, I forgot to put the bag in the fridge.
They stayed out on the counter inside a locked zip lock for about 6-7 hours.
Are they still ok to eat for lunch later?

nope I wouldnt eat them.... bacteria starts after two hours between 40 degrees and 140 degrees.... that is five hours too long, I would rather go buy 10 burgers at the fast food joint at lunchtime than go through the pain of food poisoning, and miss two days of work!!! Good Luck!!

Of course they're not OK to eat! Why would you take a chance on your health, and your family's health, by serving and eating meat, or any food, that hasn't been handled safely?

I'm amazed at all the questions here about eating food that people forget to refrigerate! I see at least 2 or 3 questions about this every day. I can't imagine who'd be willing to take a chance like that! Risk health just to save a couple bucks? Why???

lots relies upon on what meat. Turkey or rooster will flow undesirable in 2-3 days, drier ham like a prosciutto or dried crimson meat will final 7-10 days. different stuff form of in between. all of it boils right down to how lots moisture is obtainable to permit bacterial advance. all the numbers above assume that the storage temperature is under 4°C (40°F). in spite of if it is warmer it is going to wreck quicker

They will be ok if you have a blast furnace and you can put the burgers in there at 1000 degrees farenheit or more for a minute or two that should kill off any microorganisms then you are set for lunch.

Don't eat them. They are bad. Anything like that can't stay out for that long

I'd eat them. Though, most people wouldn't.

I don't like being paranoid about stuff like this, though. :) Either way, I bet you'd be just fine.

I would say No..

was the meat cooked or uncooked..because if it was cooked then it should be ok. But if it was not cooked then it's no good.
