Hey, all. I've got a 1997 Nissan Sentra GXE which I've had since '99; 138k miles. I just sorta realized the other day that the right-front tire has always been my "problem child." It seems to lose its shape (its "corners") fastest and then lose its tread quicker than all the others. Not Outrageously so, just faster than the rest. Rotation doesn't really solve the problem. It just spreads the pain.

The car's alignment is good. Its brakes are good. Ten years old and it's still Topping 30mpg In-Town! I'm just a little too auto-ignorant on what I Assume might be chassie or suspension issues.

ANY thoughts would be Greatly Appreciated.

Thanks, Rick

Everything is alright that is the wheel that seems to get the most power thus more tread wear. Carry on my 1999 5 speed sentra did the same thing I only got 57,000 miles out of the original Conti Contact tires. No actually I sold the car at 57,000 miles and the tires were original. I crossed the tires one time by dis mounting and remounting all four and rebalancing. That was a great car.

Nope, all front wheelchronic automobiles have an open differential meaning that the wheel with the least resistance will spin so in case you positioned only one under that tire will stay positioned and the different area will spin. terrific to purchase 2 units in case you have 2 vehicles.

Things to check are obviously the tire pressure and the alignment, while you may not feel a pull or have your steering wheel off center it's still possible that the alingment is off and there are other steering angles compensating for it.
