Like why would there be a God like creature in the sky watching us? thats unlogical in every single way. How can people believe so hard in a stupid book called the "bible" and believe there was a Jesus having this magical powers to change water in whine, i mean, do you really believe that there was ever a person with this magical nonsence. in my vision Jesus was just an ordinairy guy with short hair, braun eyes, long face thinking he was the son of God and he had a task and thought i was hearing some sort of God? with saying Mary Magdalene was a virgin i think it was just her astrological sign: virgo. and she had made a child with Jozef(not God) and they had a son who thought he was the son of God, its all so logical but people just always have to twist it around with putting in some fantasy sentences as Jesus had super powers and all, and Jesus walking on water was also not true, he was walking on ICE., why do christians have to twist reality with fantasy? Christians are delusional?

Isn't it delusional to go to a place where you believe there are nothing but delusional people and ask them questions in the hopes of getting a logical answer?

Its very hard to wake up a waking person like you. The real evidence to see is just open the Almanacs and see that those people who have faith are the successful people in the world historically, scientifically, philosophically and Biblically. You try to twist what the Bible record plainly says. There was never a person historically that become successful in doing it so do you also. Have your own self-realization and do not think too much what you are not. Better read the Bible honestly as it is and if it does not conform to your twisted mentality, just leave it alone. That's how to be mature in the world. Yes it takes time to reach the age of accountability but it is a must for every moral responsible person.

John you are off the track Jesus never said he was the son of God. Those were the words of others not his.

Mary Magdellan was not married to Joseph or had a Child name Jesus. Mary Magdellan was supposedly the lover of Jesus.
In a time where much poverty and suffering any medical marvel whether it be psychological or other wise that could not be explained was given as a miracle. We still attribute things we dont understand to being Miracles. the church being the biggest proclaimer of these events in order to cajole people into their silly beliefs in a God that looks down from a mystical place called heaven and rants on about devils and other nonsense . This is all scare tactics to bring you under some form of religuous control.
Did you know human parts ( supposedly of Saints ( more nonesense) are kept in the tabernacles on alters in Catholic churches? Bones, foreskins, hair etc all supposedly now Holy relics. What barbaric nonsense and we think voodoo worshippers are heathens!.
More wars , rapes pilage and suffering have been cause by God believers than any other single group on this planet. The Roman Catholics are amongst the worst of them. One only has to look at the destruction of South American civilizations by tyrants like Cortez see that.

Life is a mystery, was it created by the big bang or was it a higher being ( I doubt it!) If ever aliens visited us the church would fold like a wet paper bag. The Princes of the Church would all have egg on their face and burn in their own hell for the lies they have continued to tell to maintain their power over the masses. The popes were the most corrupt of all, amassing wealth at the expense of their followers. Murdering any who opposed them including some of their own cardinals. read up on some of the history of the Romans and catholiscism and its corruption. When you finsih with that start looking at protestants and King Henry and how he changed the rules by threatening his religious advisors if they didn't follow his desires. But if you are going to ask a qustion get the names and places and events right. otherwise no one will, bother to answer the question

People wrote the bible. Our laws are based on the 10 commandments, so it has set boundaries for society in broad sense. It has also caused wars ......
I have no doubt that God exists, although I don't belong to any church.
There are many people whom do healing, like Jesus although they dont raise the dead.
If your peeved with the bible, you should get facts right Mary Magdaline was said to be a prostitute whom Jesus is said to have helped, not Jesus's mother. Some say she was Jesus's lover and that they had children. She also ministered to the people which put Peter's nose out of joint, also she was respected by Jesus. He was one of the people who chose what went into the bible and he didn't have a favourable opinion of women as you can read most of the women in the bible didn't have high standing in regards to society.
I read Genesis and was shocked that a person of any age could pick up the bible and read about two daughters who took their father to a cave got him drunk and procreated. Each having a son, whom then became kings.
What happened to censorship???

People are where they are meant to be, at what ever place they choose, its not your job to judge people who need to belong to authoritarian religion. We live in a free will world. It is a shame that certain knowledge is held back from the general public, and given to the leaders of religious groups regarding spiritual protection.
We all walk the path of life, try asking your angel for help, ... see what happens.

You have Faith to actually it takes more faith to be a Atheist to believe that Nothing plus Nothing became everything? ha

spontaneous generation has been disproved but that doesn't stop atheist from believing it....

I believe that logically that if there's a painting there's a painter and if there's a building there must have been a builder .

So the logical conclusion is if there's a Creation then there's a Creator simple as that.

and The answer to the age old question "then who made God?"

The answer is Science teaches that Time, matter and space had a beginning so what that means is the cause was not held by time so it would not need a creator and would therefore be infinite and uncased.

Being that there is intelligence in the world that shows that there is a intelligent Creator because Intelligence can not come from non-intelligence.

Second There are millions of laws that govern our world not to mention fine tuning to the molecular level and if there are laws there logically should be a law giver.

Right? sounds way more logical then Atheism

Nothing + Nothing = Everything.. ha

EDIT: In Defense of the Crusades.. *wars in the name of God*

The Catholic Crusade was in self defense against the Muslim Crusaders who were actually burning churches down the irony is the Muslim crusade lasted 3 times longer then the Catholic crusade ...

and if the Catholic Crusades never happened there would be no Europe or America and Women would not be driving cars and would be wearing Veils so show some gratitude.

Did you read what you wrote? x spa k is correct: why are you carrying on about something you don't believe in?

Also, you haven't done your homework very well, since several statements you made are Biblically incorrect. The Bible exisits, regardless of your beliefs or lack thereof.

It seems to me that someone has gotten under your skin, because you are obviously agitated or aggravated about something...

You are entitled to think that Christians are delusional. Congrats. You aren't the first one, and I am reasonably sure you won't be the last.

I believe because God has made a trememendous impact in my life. The good is always unimaginably great, and the bad is not only bearable, I know it could be (or have been) far worse. I believe because I have personally witnessed miracles (of the physical variety) and have experienced a few as well. God has honored his word.

Now I realize that those who don't believe can find a way to water down my experiences, or negate them entirely, but detractors can't alter what I have lived through...which is reality.

God bless you.

The way I see it everybody has a faith. Maybe their faith is simply in what they've seen and heard but that is a faith. For others their faith goes into other areas, like a guy who lived 2000 years ago. But it's all in the way we think, even our interpretation of what we see and hear. Check out the movie 'What The Bleep Do We Know' for more hard scientific research into belief, and don't worry it's not christian propaganda.

Hello Johnny V.. :)

I will try and answer all the questions you asked.. :)

Because God created us..He cares about His creation..that is why He watches over those, that trust in Him.. :)

What may be illogical to others, is logical to us.. :)

To us the Bible is the word of God..though to others, it may sound like a fairy tale..

Jesus, did not preform anything magical..rather it was miracles..

Mary Magdalene was not Jesus mother..it was a different Mary..

As for Jesus walking on ice..May I ask a question of you..

If when Peter started to sink because the (ice) as you say broke..then how could the weight of both men, be able sustain them, to walk to the ship?

I used to believe just as you..but my eyes were opened to the Truth in 1978, as I see it now.. :)

If by being a Christian makes me delusional, in your eyes..I cannot change how you feel.. :(

I am thankful, that I no longer judge anyone, according to their beliefs and or thoughts..

But rather I ~Love~ **Everyone** no matter what they think or believe.. :)

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With ~Love~ In Christ.. :)

Believers only seem delusional to someone looking in from the outside. For those who know God, there's no delusion. It's all obviously real to us. That's what faith is.

Delusional indeed. But you've got to do better on your "research." There is no factual, historical evidence that Jesus existed. The New Testament was invented using the myth of the Egyptian sun god Horus, who predated the Christ character by a few thousand years. Some things about Horus:

a) Born of the virgin Isis-Meri on Dec. 25th in a cave/manger
b) His earthly father was named "Seb" (Joseph).
c) He was a child teacher in the temple at age 12
d) He was baptized at 30, having disappeared for 18 years.
e) He was baptized in the river Eridanus (Jordan) by "Anup the Baptizer" (John the Baptist), who was decapitated (head chopped off)
f) He had 12 disciples
g) He performed miracles, exorcised demons and raised El-Azarus from the dead
h) He walked on water
i) He was crucified between two thieves, buried for 3 days in a tomb, and resurrected
j) He was called the "Way, the Truth, the Light, Messiah, Son of Man, Good Shepherd, Lamb of God, Word Made Flesh" etc.
k) He came to fulfill the Law
l) He was called "the KRST,' or "Anointed One"
m) Like Jesus, Horus was supposed to reign "one thousand years"

'Nuff said!
