I am going to drive down from the North to visit London. However, I would like to drive to a nearby train station and catch a train in rather than actually drive in London. Where is the best place to do this to/from? Somewhere secure preferably, I don't mind paying more for the added security.

Try Warwick Parkway - good parking and a nice leasurely ride into Marlybone. Good motorway access too.

Don't bother with Brum - no parking anywhere close to the station!!

Why bother to drive down at all. Let the train take the strain, and then you won't have to worry all day as to whether or not your car is still going to be where you left it!

Luton Airport Parkway http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/stations/LTN.html advertises its services for this very purpose, and is easily accessible from the M1.

the place in Surrey? it is a great area. you will get practice costs from the rail enquiries web site. playstation I forgot to declare that the overground practice is the terrific way. the only option is using which will take two times as long.
