The first commandment says " I, the Lord, am your God. You shall not have other gods besides Me."

And Christians worship Jesus Christ as their Lord.

We know Christ isn't God, because on the cross he prayed to God and in the garden of Gethsemane he also prayed to God. He called him "father", he called himself the son of God, we're all God's children. He wasn't God, never was, just a follower.

I respect your opinion, but that is all it is...your opinion is that Christ isn't God. Would you know this as a fact or have you heard this from others? Been reading Dan Brown?

Regardless of whether Jesus was a "follower" or the "son" of God, the legacy He left behind is something we should never forget. He taught us to love, respect for each other, mind peace over war, share, give, respect equality and above all non aggression.

Don't you "pray" or ask your dad (father) whenever you need something?

Yes, we are all God's children and as such should behave in a manner befitting His children. Respect others for who they are and what they have done and stop backsliding or defaming others or saying things about another person especially when we have no proof of the same most specially since He has done you no wrong and yet continues to fight for you.

Christians respect Jesus as Lord and worship God as the supreme being and Father of us all.

If you read the bible and understand its meaning without destroying its real worth, then you will know that the commandment which you referred to was attributed to those people led by Moses out of Egypt. He gave this commandment primarily because they created a golden image of a cow and began to pay homage to it.

There are many passages in the Old Testament that refer to the coming of Christ, His son. Please read the Bible and enjoy a life of peace in the Lord.

God bless you.

i believe they will because even jesus told the people to worship god alone. but only god can decide if a person goes to heaven or hell . thats why i became muslim a few years ago. i just didnt feel right doing all the things christians do , spending all the time in church singing songs about worshipping jesus,. the name jesus was mentioned alot more than the word God now when a prophet is put above God thats when it is too much. in islam we believe God is worshipped alone just as the bible teaches also. i feel the quran was the next book in the series after the bible. the final directions to clear up all the changes people have made in the bible to confirm what is true and deny what is false. as i like to say humans last chance is islam because it is the final revelatiopn God revealed

Inane question, irrelevant analysis. Christians (especially Roman Catholics) believe Jesus is one of the "three persons in one God (the Holy Trinity)." So God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit constitute one God.

Try as you might, you can't figure it out. It can't be explained, because it's an invention. But Christians call it a "mystery." Convenient, huh?

Let me clarify you...

Yes, Jesus is called "Messiah" , means "Messenger".
A messenger from GOD and also termed as "Son of GOD".

In Bible, when the apostles asked him to show GOD, he tells that he resembled his father, i.e. GOD, If we walk thru his way, i.e. nothing but walking thru GOD's way. If we have seen jesus christ, we need not see GOD, GOD himseld came as a human being. He is everything - He is the Father, He is the Son. So, worshipping him does not break the first commandment.

So, Jesus is GOD, worship him...

People who follow all the commandments, worship Jesus christ and spread his message will got to Heaven, not to Hell...

:)

I think people are wrong for thinking that Jesus is God and worshiping Him, but I don't know that they will go to hell for that since they have been misdirected.

I agree that there are only about 4 bible passages that MIGHT point to the concept of the Trinity and about 150 other passages that denote the separateness of them, so I have to agree with you on this one.

Good question.

no...no...no..., but "you" shall go to hell if you don't believe in him.
Don't you know that Jesus claims himself as Lord? John 13:13, "You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am."
You know Christ isn't God? Just because when he was in the earth he prayed to God? Honey...., he is God but also a man (he ate, he felt tired, he cried, he thirsted)
Look at the jews' reaction when he said "Am I insulting God when I say: 'I am the Son of God?" The jews answered, "We are not stonign you for doing a good work but for insulting God; you are only a man and you make yourself God." (John 10:33, 36)
Don't you know that Jesus claims that "before Abraham was , I am" Again the jews picked up stones to throw at him. (John 8:58-59) who do you think he is now? just a man? just a follower?
The bible says, "God so loved the world taht he gave his only Son taht whoever believes in him may not perish, but may have eternal life." (John 3:16)
Yeah...you're the one who shall go to hell because you don't believe in him as savior and Lord, not christians who believe in him....

Yes, Jesus was very clear in John 4:23-24 we must worship his father not him, his father is the most high (Luke 1:32) and his name is in Psalms 83:18 (Jehovah).

If Jesus wasn't God, yes.

However, I believe that God poured His essence into Jesus. I believe that Jesus was God in the flesh.

I also believe that the reason He prayed to God is because they were separate, yet the same.

I don't know anyone who worships Jesus as God.

You can worship Jesus as the Son of God.
