Turn the question around, Remove atheist emotional rhetoric and what do the have?
Answer: Same thing they started with, nothing.
If you remove faith from anyone, you remove the will to live. If you did not have faith that the sun would rise tomorrow, would you not lose hope? If you did not have faith your next breath was coming would you not lose hope? You can not separate faith from humanity, even atheists have faith, just not in deity.
Rather than asking percusatory answers, why not try something with substance?

If you think I worship God for an emotional response you are so deluded it is unbelievable.
Those like you however who seem to have no faith have nothing at all to offer -- NOTHING -- not even a reason for people to behave morally and decently to their fellow human beings -- total moral bankruptcy, and your societies demonstrate this 100%.
At least we have the hope that God will punish the evil while they live, and reward the righteous while they live - plus remember them in the resurrection in the last day.
This you may equate with emotional rhetoric, it isn't. It is our hope that keeps us going when things are tough, the anchor of our faith.

Faith = whatever that person wants it to. If you take the emotions out of anything you are just empty. Everyone has faith of some kind. I have faith in the fact that many more questions like yours will be posted today. No emotions about it just faith in humans to remain the way they are.

I have a few Christian friends who don't deserve those kind of blanket statements...
I think there is a lot of Christian "rhetoric" out there... but they aren't ALL guilty of it...

Why can't the existence of God be based on experience? I've experienced God, therefore I believe.
