Why do Christians believe in Christianity?
Is it because they were born in a Christian family?
Is it because some convincing Christian messenger converted their weak minds?
Is it because they were in deep trouble and tried to pray to God and the prayer was answered? (Not realizing that the prayer did not change the outcome; meaning despite not praying the problem would have been solved anyway)
Is it because Christianity got the most threatening penalty and glorious reward?
More or less those are the reasons.
If you were born in an era where all Bibles and churhes were demolished and no Christian was left on earth and a new dominating religion was establised "Gristianity" with "Gesus" as your new saviour having very different teachings from the Bible is it not true that you people would go around praising the religion and feel so faithful and claim the feelings of being touched by "Gresus"?
Believing something to be true deludes ones mind to concieve everything according.

A made up religion like Christianity could have been made up completely if the authors mind were at a different mood when they wrote the Bible.
Maybe Satan would have been our hero and Jesus just a mad man or whatever.
No matter what the authors would have written in the Bible you Christians would go around feeling so smart thinking that it is true.
You feel so deluded that you start to think that everything around you is done by Jesus and you see miracles that doesn't exist.

If the Bible would have said that monkeys could fly in the past then that is exactly what you would believe now and come up with all the reasons that they could to compete with scientists.
LoL

What I am trying to say is that the Bible was a made up story. The thing is that you believe whatever is written inside it.
Anything!
That is why if you would have been exposed to a different author that wrote the Bible you would have believed it anyway thus rendering your faith and belief totally ridiculous and void.

Revelation of God comes from God and does not disagree with science which is man's limited knowledge.
Those who love and seek the truth receve a gift from God called faith.
Through faith comes revelation of God and a personal relationship with God.

I agree with Diane M. I'm tired of being told WHY I believe, and WHAT I believe by people who are not in my position.
If all you say is true, then why are people who are raised in predominantly Hindu or Muslim societies converting to Christianity? Did you know there are former Muslims who are now Christians, who became Christians when Jesus visited them in a vision? And there are THOUSANDS of these, who are unrelated except by experience!
But you don't want to hear this, do you? I suppose you'd like to receive a pat on the back, and people telling you that you're absolutely right. Yes, yes, I'm SO deluded, that must be it! I mean, it's not like the Bible is corroborated by historical and archaeological evidence, right? Sure!
Believe what you want. I'm going to continue to follow Jesus.

The Bible...40 writers over 1500 years...and they all agree on ONE thing.
The establishment of God's KINGDOM, with his son, Jesus, as King.
(Daniel 2:44) “And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite; From the Old Testament.
(John 18:36) Jesus answered: “My kingdom is no part of this world. If my kingdom were part of this world, my attendants would have fought that I should not be delivered up to the Jews. But, as it is, my kingdom is not from this source.”
New Testament...SAME Kingdom.
(Matthew 6:9-10) “YOU must pray, then, this way: “‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. 10Â Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth.
Same Kingdom.
Bible writers so far apart in time yet talking about the same situation.

The Bible teaches Gods word but does not have anything to do with our faith. I know people that can not read or choose not to and still feel God existence God is feeling and knowing without proof, from a book or a person.

Who then wrote scripture in the Bible from their knowledge of the germ theory and other advanced fields of science that could have only evolved from microbiology 3500 years before mankind invented the microscope? Charles Darwin? I don't think so. Nice try Satan. Any other questions?

I have a small favor to ask. Do you suppose you could stop telling me what I believe and why I believe it? I fit none of your categories.
And, by the way: "Believing something to be true deludes ones mind to concieve [sic] everything according." If you really believed this, then you couldn't believe anything to be true - which, of course, means you couldn't really believe this.

There is nothing threatening about following Christ.
Prayer HAS changed outcomes many times, both in my life and in my loved ones' lives.
No question you have ever asked is worth even one star, IMO.
"Ponder this" is not a question, friend. It's an imperative sentence.
Have a happy day.
