There are studies apparently, that smoking can stunt your growth. I'm not sure if it has been proven in adults, but there is evidence that it stunts the normal growth of a fetus in the womb if a pregnant woman smokes.

Smoking can stunt your growth. In fact, smoking affects growth even before you are born. Mothers who smoke during their pregnancy have lower birth-weight babies.

Smoking is associated with weight loss, poor weight gain and excessive tiredness during adolescence. Smoking also causes increased respiratory infections and early lung damage that decreases the amount of oxygen your growing cells receive.

Yes, you’ve heard right - smoking can stunt your growth. Even after your bones have finished growing, smoking effects you only in bad ways, so if you are smoking, seek the help of a health care professional in quitting. It is also proven that it can affect you even when you’re not smoking but just hanging around people who smoke (“second-hand smoke”). So if you have a friend who smokes around you, that person is really not your friend!

Smoking can stunt your growth by decreasing the amount of oxygen to your body's cells. It cannot make you lose height you already have however. Either way, smoking is very bad for your health.

hi!
There was a study done a few years ago that actually said that it stunt boys growth but quite the opposite in girls as they mature faster and because some girls take up smoking right when their growing stage is happening it doesn't affect them however because boys take longer to mature when they take up smoking it certainly has an effect on them.

Byee!!

Yes, and not too hard to believe since smoking reduces available oxygen to the body, and more resources are used to remove the toxins you absorbed from smoking instead of dedicating towards growth and other functions of the body.

Well if you were a guy, and you were talking about your meat and 2 veg, then yes..... XP

But apparently it can. Although, from what Ive heard, it only affects you in the early stages. They say that pregnant women that smoke have lower birth weighted babies.....dont ask me how the hell I hear that.....but Im not sure if its completely true.

I don't believe in that, but in general it is not good for your body, at least i know that it gave wrinkles to my forhead the years i used to smoke, ... so if you are still young, drink plenty of water, and look after yourself so you stay beautiful and young....
