Its better to die than to take off hijab, But what Alexie has written, is what I wanted to add in my query. it might be a fact but I have no idea as people's thinking is changing as well and people appreciate scarves. In New Zealand many people wear scarves. Thats not a big deal and even at the institute where I'm planning to get admitted, said that there are many students with head scarf and thats not a problem at all. But I'm worried about the Real market~!

Hey Maria. I am assuming that it is 2 million Indian rupees. So its 20 lakhs of rupees. Well I would really not recommend you to spend that huge of an amount on studies where your career is not guaranteed. Please please please do not abandon your hijab for any damn reason. Allah (swt) will compensate for all your sufferings and sacrifices in the world here after. Like you said after spending 20 lakhs you would definitely want to recover it so you will have work but that would mean interaction with men which you would definitely want to avoid. I would suggest that you find an other way to keep yourself busy. I am pretty sure that its your boredom that is making you think in those directions. I will Insha-Allah pray that you get a very good Muslim man to marry you that will keep you happy. Ameen.

where does the problem lies? if you are pessimistic about getting the job, then change the course that you are studying, if that is possible. but InshAllah, don't worry about it, you will indeed get a job as i am quite sure there will be people out there who don't mind women who wear hijab. Alhamdolillah, women who wear hijab do get jobs too. and i wish you all the best for your studies =)

anyways... what do you mean by "i am not even getting the right man to get married with"???

No one knows what will happen tomorrow! I am not sure what your main problem is? is it a complication about going to N L or not or is it your hijab?

The only thing I can say is that live like you are the only one in the world and don't care what people would say!

and about the right man ! you don't need to bother yourself searching for your mate , he will come when it is time!

and continue your studies !! you will get a good job for sure

GO FOR IT
and consider it a form of jihad.
I wear hijab and was discriminated against, denied raises and promotions because they dont want a hijabi interacting with their customers. I stood strong. There are many Islamic orgainizations who will help you big time. They go as far as to get the press and lawyers involved.

Assalamalikum,

Sister you are wearing the hijab for the sake of Allah(swt). Have faith in Allah(swt), go ahead with your studies, He will find a way for you. I have seen many muslims working in the hospital industry with hijab.

May Allah bless you and you family. May he help you reach the peak of success in this world and in the hereafter.

i am in RSA and where hijaab and am a regional sales manager for a major company, and I have no problem. in a free and democratic country where freedom of religion is practised it shouldnt be a problem. the only thing standing in your way would be your ability to do the job. May the Almighty guide you and keep you on the right path. Insha'allah

it depends on the culture of where you want to work.
Here in the U.S., with all our concerns and fears being pushed to the max by the government, you may have problems with management wearing head coverings. I don't think it should be a problem, but we live in a world full of turmoil.

Nowadays, hijab is very fashionable. you can get it in many size, colour and style. Get some fashion magazines (especially from Malaysia) and see how neat and nice to wear. In facts, you will get a well respect from your polite behavior. Keep it up.

As Salaamu Alaykum

I would suggest that you do not uncover for anyone. If you are sincerely covering for Allah then you would never uncover for anyone. Allah is Al-Razaq He will provide fro you InshaAllah.
Allah SWT has told us Muslimahs to cover in the Qur'an & if you uncover it may be a sin (Allahu Alim).
Stay true to Islam and most importantly to Allah.

Ma'a Salaamah
