You say Almighty God doesn't exist, but i have a question for you as i'm trying to figure out why?

Ok, here is my question and in your case a hypothetical...

An angel from heaven visited you with a message from the christian God. God has given you the opportunity to see him face to face, all you had to do was agree to it.
Would you agree knowing after seeing God's face your life will never be the same again. You had a chance to see for yourself God and with him all the secrets of the universe.

Would you front God Almighty?

Or, would you decline the invitation because you prefer the life you live now?

I'm curious that's all! Please don't be snide about this question.
Thank you

Dallas- I'm not unhappy i love my life!
All i wanted to know what an atheist would do if they had to opportunity to see God Almighty.
Would you choose to see him face to face or not?
That's all.

No, i do not know anything about the secrets of the universe. I do not see myself any better then anyone.
I just believer in my Lord and saviour, my father and the love of my life. The christ, Jesus!
I mentioned the bit about " the secrets of the universe because Atheists want hard proof and facts God exists.
Atheists, God isn't human, he is God!
How can you figure out a God that's not human, but God? you can't!
Can't you see God with holds seeing him because he wants you to believe without seeing. That's faith, not seeing, but believeing. You do that and God will fill you with his holy spirit and he will never let you down.
But if you continue to want proof you want hard facts and you want to see God, then it will never happen, not now and not for eternity.
It is so God to do what he is doing, not reveal himself physically, he wants us to believe and know him without seeing!
Call on him, what have you got to lose.

Tash!!! Believe me God can wipe away what happened to you. He couldn't stop what that person did to you because we are all here to make either good choices or bad nad that person chose to be bad to you. believe me he/they will get theirs if they don't repent.
But you honey, I know God can give you a peace and love you have never ever felt. He can take the bad dreams away and the hate too.

If your god wanted to meet with me, face to face, so he could imperically prove his existence to me, I'd be ok with that.

Now, same question turned to you. Would you be willing to examine your religious beliefs with an open mind and see how silly some of the stuff you actually believe to be true, actually is????

I would definitely. That sounds like I'd be headed for enlightenment.

However, what I learn and what I find would be completely different from the next person's... and when I got back and my life was changed, I wouldn't try to push my discoveries onto anyone else... because the God that I meet and talk to and hang out with is going to be nothing like what christians make him out to be like. He's going to be nothing like what's in the bible. In fact, we're going to have a good laugh talking about how people can't come up with their own ideas and thoughts about life and the universe. And we're going to talk about the fact that there is no heaven and hell, and that all this crap was made up by humans being scared about what they do not know yet.

By the way, I don't believe in a Christian Almighty God... or any sort of organized religion type God. And I don't believe that there's a problem with that. I don't believe I need to spend my life on Earth serving God. If I'm wrong, and he is a christian god like in the bible, then oh well, I was wrong, he still believes in me. And if I'm right, that he's a higher power, and pretty pissed off about what christians have done over history, then he and I will share a cold beer and talk about more important things.

I hope you don't think it's "snide" to point out that this is a VERY silly question.

Atheists don't not believe in any gods because they're somehow rebellious or determined to deny what passes for a moral code under Christianity (in truth, most atheists are very moral people, which is why we are so badly underrepresented in prisons).

The scenario you offer would count as indisputable proof for the existence of God. On those grounds no atheist could deny the opportunity. I shall myself not, however, be holding my breath in anticipation of such an event taking place.

Please try to get the hang of what an atheist is before asking such things.

Hello. Blessings and Peace.

It is highly unlikely that someone in my position needs a visit from angel from the God of the Christians. I would probably decline the christian God.

Although I disagree with your use of the 'with him all the secrets of the universe' because I get the impression that being a Christian opens you up to all sorts of 'secret' things', therefore making you more important then others because of the 'secret things'.

Kind Regards

Wow! Interesting question!

As an Agnostic, I believe it's impossible to physically prove OR disprove the existence of ANY deity, Christian or otherwise, beyond all measure of doubt.

BUT...if, as you asked, I received a visit from an angel (I do believe in them, by the way - just not the way the Bible describes them), inviting me to "see" the Christian God "face-to-face" (he has a face???), yes, I'd accept it. (And I'd have a LOT of questions for him, too.) See, unlike most Christians, I don't close my mind off from possibilities outside the realm of my own beliefs...

good question! I don't know about other unbelievers but I would welcome god's calling. A lot of us have not been called and do not have the gift of faith in our lives. so we cannot agree that god exists. Of course, if it was proven then it's another story. I thought believing in god was all about faith. BUT knowing as many unhappy and miserable christians as i do, it is hard to answer the second part of your question. Why if you have such a faith are you so unhappy?

If the circumstances were such that there was no room for doubt, (As in, I am absolutely certain I am not dreaming or hallucinating. I am 100% certain the experience is authentic, and that who I am seeing truly is God.) then absolutely. If I had real, undeniable proof of God's existence, I would convert to whichever religion he said was the right one, without hesitation.

If you hypothetically say god exists as a fact, then ofcourse. Who would be so stupid as to tamper with god if they knew as a fact that god exists. But in reality, the fact is that god doesn't exist.

No I wouldn't see him.

If someone hurts me deeply or stands by and does nothing while something bad happens to me, I wind up pretty upset and angry at them. I generally don't wish to see them or speak to them because it upsets me too much.

If there was a God, I'd be so, so hurt and angry with him for many, many reasons. I would not want anything to do with him...
