I am thinking of buying a Panasonic TH42PX70PED 42" Plasma TV. Was wondering what the picture quality would be like with Freeview. Some people have told me that freeview is a poor quality signal and a TV like this will make the picture look blocky/pixelated. Anyone got one of these tv's, they seem to get good reviews.

I've got a 37" Panasonic plasma TV - the picture is excellent via the built-in Freeview tuner (no blockiness or pixellation at all) and truly stunning from DVD.

And you are correct - the Viera range always gets excellent reviews. The experts still rate them above any LCD television. Naturally...

I have a Panasonic 42" plasma with integrated Freeview and it looks great (just fiddle a little with the settings when you first get it, but it's so user-friendly it takes about 2 minutes).

I watch freeview through my Samsung 32" lcd and it looks very good although it does have an integrated tuner. If you're using a set-top box it all depends on the quality of the connectors/cables that you're using, not to mention the quality of the box itself.

brilliant, and will be more reliable when the signal is turned up to full strength, that is when there is little chance of interfering with annologue

get a hd freeview box then, I take it your tv is hd ?
