Give the bank your new address as you will need your statements, my British banks have no problem sending my statements abroad.
It's a good idea to inform the Inland Revenue as if you have paid tax this year you may find yourself due for a refund.

You have to tell child benefit. Unless you are leaving temporarily or going to work overseas for a UK employer or the UK civil service you will usually not be eligible for child benefit any more even if you still continue to pay UK tax, disgusting but true but as expats don't vote, the government doesn't care about being fair to them or their children.
You have to inform the Inland Revenue and there is a form to fill in about that..
You often can't open a UK bank account when you live abroad but as far as I know you are not required to close one which has already been opened before you left.
If you want your bank interest to be paid gross as a non resident you will have to apply to the bank and I suppose there will be an inland revenue form to fill in.
If you continue to pay UK tax, for example if you rented out your house, you have to change from your tax office now to the Centre for non residents in Liverpool.
If you have rental income from the UK you either have to appoint an agent to manage it (that can be a family member) and they have to open a scheme if you want to have rent paid gross or if not then the tenant has to deduct tax (so in that case you would have to have a tenant who you totally trust because you remain liable for the tax if the tenant fails to pay it to the inland revenue).

Yes:- This government would like to know who is emigrating from the U.K. so they can say a family of (4 say?) are leaving.
Then they can fiddle the figures for immigration into the UK by saying, another person is given status to live here, they don't mention the total amount of his family, who then has a right to follow him into the UK

Hi
I live now in Turkey, and i would advise you to inform the tax man , but no other goverment office. The reason being you might need to come back to the UK for medical treatment and they might try to charge you for it. You can still keep your bank account, you must inform the bank of your new address
abroad to recieve your statements

You need to inform the Inland Revenue - you may be due a rebate, or if you're not working you need to inform the benefits office. You should advise your banks what your plans are they can then tell you if as an expatriate you are able to have this type of account. Good luck in your new life.

I moved to Spain from the U.K. 4 years ago. It is always advisable to leave your U.K. bank account open and if you have credit cards to keep them live.
You will obviously need to inform the following people of your new address :
1. Banks and Credit Card Companies.
2. Insurance Companies.
3. Inland Revenue. (Give forwarding address - you may be entitled to tax rebate - don't hold your breath ! ! ! ! !)
No doubt you will clear all your utility charge bills before you leave.
Good luck with your new venture.

If you are an EU citizen, then no - you don't have to tell anyone. But if you get a job or want to access health care then you will need to apply for a national insurance number.
If you are not an EU national, then you need a visa to live in the UK.
