If the purpose of your trip is to visit (i.e. not work or seek employment, nor attend classes of any description), then a citizen of Singapore does NOT require a visa to enter Canada. See link below, which is to the official Customs and Immigration Canada (CIC) section dealing with visitor visa requirements.
However, travellers from Singapore (and all other Asian countries) DO require a valid passport.

You won't need a visa if you're just travelling there as a tourist (ie. you're not staying more than 3 months and you're not going to be working/studying there).
Your valid red Singapore passport will do just fine, but please check that you have at least one month's validity on it because immigration doesn't like it when you go on an expiring passport!! :)
Check out the link below to the Canadian High Commission in Singapore for more details. Or you can call them direct to check at 6854-5900 (during office hours).

a visa is only required if a foreign national wishes to work in a country they visit. If the visit is for pleasure, then all that is required is a passport.
