Well, most "nice guys" arn't in a bar. Try the library, or places you find men. Hardware or sporting goods stores are a good bet. You even have a built in icebreaker.... ask his advice about something. He'll usually be happy to help, as he's been trying to figure out what to say to you for the last 5 minutes! It'll also give you a feel for the guy-- clueless, helpful, or Mr. Smartalec Knowitall!

well, don't do FREE dating sites... you could always try the ones you pay for such as eharmony... at least you know the guy can afford something, and takes time to answer a LOT of questions, so is probably serious about finding someone compatible.
otherwise, join a gym, take a karate class.... and check to see if your area has a singles group (they do short trips, picnics, dances, etc).

Well, I'm 92 and attractive and have the same problem.
I do get to see decent menfolk though at church, at bowels and at bingo.
