The inside of holy Kaaba is empty. The Kaaba was first built by Adam only a collected soil. with dates'leves and then rebuilt by Abraham and Ismael Abraham's son in the form of square building..Kaaba is the centre of this earth. It is a symbol of unity so all mus;lims around the world should lead their direction of praying to the Kaaba in Mecca Saudi Arabia..Muhammad pbuh renovated the Kaaba too. After that it was renovated again but the form is always the same. like now. Before the event of Israa and Mi'raj the direction of praying was to Mesjidil Aqsa in Yerrusalem,Palestine.God instructed Muhammad pbuh to pray to the direction of Kaaba after that event..In haj pilgrim muslims should pray around the Kaaba after surround it 7 times against the clock movement.
Near the Kaaba there is the Zam Zam mineral water spring which has been used by millions of haj pilgrims. for drinking and washing their part of the bodies before praying.Near the door of Kaaba there is a black stone from heaven. called hajar aswad.

We dont pray to it
the Quran says: "And worship the Lord of this house..."
it is the direction of Prayer- for unity purposes
Like we supplicate with our hands facing the air- it doesnt mean that we are worshipping the sky- it is just the direction of supplication - thats all..
whats inside? Well that's probably been answered
but there are the "treasures of the ka'bah"
and the saudi govt always gets the key from the descendants of the family responsible for the keys to the ka'bah
i don't know what those treasures are. im not an arab- ive never been there! but there are treasures...

Nothing except a visitors books with their names and addresses. Mostly the Muslim heads of states are taken inside the Kaaba. Saudi King and his brothers go in it couple of times a year with their security. King changes the black cover every year with his own hands. It is a great honor for changing the cover.

The inside of the Kaaba is basically empty. Although it's floor and bottom half of the walls are made of marble, the top half of the walls are covered in green cloth embroidered in Qur'anic verses. Caretakers scent the inside.

It is a shrine begun by Abraham. Inside it is the original rocks that Abraham set up for worship to the Almighty in heaven.
BTW they do not pray to it. It is the site
of an ancient dwelling of Abraham.
Kaaba, also known as, Ka'bah, Kabah and Caaba is the center of the holiest place of worship in Islam (Submission in English), i.e. the Sacred Mosque of Mecca, Al Masjid Al-Haram. Its name means the cube in Arabic as it is a cube shaped stone structure built in the middle of the Sacred Mosque. The Kaaba was built by prophet Abraham as a landmark for the House of God ,for the sole purpose of worshipping of God alone.
[2:127] As Abraham raised the foundations of the shrine, together with Ismail (they prayed): "Our Lord, accept this from us. You are the Hearer, the Omniscient
[Quran; 2:125] We have rendered the shrine (the Ka`aba) a focal point for the people, and a safe sanctuary. You may use Abraham's shrine as a prayer house. We commissioned Abraham and Ismail: "You shall purify My house for those who visit, those who live there, and those who bow and prostrate."
