Seriously, I'm tired of people using dogs as an accessory. I hate the first two pictures. You put that horrid thing on your dog, and you carry your dog with a handle? Don't dogs have legs?

Do you really think that they like this?

And what's up with this?

What on your views on these photographs? What do you think about these "designer accessories"? Do you think dogs should be treated like this?

Yes, I do believe in the sweaters, because short-haired dogs do easily get cold. But, with my fourth picture -- I was saying that the dress .. and the hood .. is too much. Lol.

Chetco and Corgi: I absolutely agree with you both. There are far more worse things. I would rather this be the case instead of neglect. I just hate seeing them as an accessory as well.

Everyone has great answers. Chetco, your answer made me fall to tears. You are absolutely right. Like I said in my last detail, I would rather this than your pictures any day. Thanks. :')

They sure look happier than this poor fellow:

I really don't care what people do to make their dogs look ridiculous..I just want to them to love them and spend time with them. The very saddest thing, is Love on a chain.

I agree 100% with Chetco. It makes me so sad and angry to know what goes on in this apparently civilized world. It is a matter of luck for puppies in a pet shop window as to whether they are welcomed into a kind loving home or a life time of neglect or worse torture and pain.
Those photos Chetco put up made me cry- pls visit this site
http://www.dmpuppylove.com/Puppymills/PuppymillSiteMap.html
I have cried and cried so much and yet feel soo useless- what good is my crying for these dogs? It's not like my tears and heartache will save them and let then be free. It is horrific to know that puppy mills and losers that abuse their dogs exist all over the world.
Obviously in some countries it is worst.
To the puppy farmers out there: Why can't you give the dogs love and care and decent food and living conditions? After all these dogs make so much money for you and ask for sooo little in return. It is possible and better for all concern for the dogs to be happy, well fed and healthy- this way they will produce healthy pups. I mean if you sell 1 pup and it dies because the mother was ill and malnourished then that person and his/her friends will not buy a pup from you again- I mean isn't that logical?
To those who abuse their dogs and make them suffer or even do the same through neglect: Why? Why have the dog in the first place- why vent your anger at your innocent dog who only ever wants to love you and protect you? How can you be so heartless...
*tears*
Can anyone tell me why this world is so unfair?

It is pretty ridiculous that people can't let their dogs be dogs. A dog shouldn't be an accessory. A dog should be a friend, a companion, not a purse or fanny pack like in these pictures. I must agree that I'd rather see dogs in a situation like this then in a neglectful home, but if you're going to have a dog, let it be a dog.

I have to agree with Checto....those dogs are far more unhappy than the dogs in your photos....however, I do think using dogs as an accessory is irritating and I'm not sure the dogs really enjoys it except that they are near their owners. The 4th pic is so very ridiculous looking...never seen that one before. Even though the dog looks like he's actually having fun...I don't see how that would be...especially if the person his walking fast like this lady is.

Yeah it's pretty sick. why put a handle on a dog so you can carry it around.
My little dog likes to wear sweaters and such but she gets cold so it's more functional than anything. I do feel silly showing up at the dog park with a dog in a sweater, but she needs it.
Her sister on the other hand doesn't enjoy wearing anything so we never subject her to it....except on halloween, we made an exception. I'm actually thinking of getting them some sort of Christmas sweater to wear on Christmas Eve when company comes over, I think she'll be ok with it, if not I'll take it off.

I think this is horrible. especially the last one because she is on a walk but isn't walking her dog ( What The!!! ). I HATE animal cruelty in any shape or form and could right a full book on why it's wrong (such as killing bears, tigers, etc just for a rug, clothing). I also HATE anything to do with hurting the earth such as global warming and my greatest inspiration is The John Butler Trio because they do campaigns such as No Nuclear Energy. Sorry going on a bit, but yes they surely don't look happy

Humiliated yes, embarrassed yes, happy no. Look I have a coat( like a horse coat) for my dogs in the winter. however these pics are plain ridiculous. As for the one with the woman walking, I don't imagine that it will be doing the dogs spine any good, and is she not aware that the dog has 4 legs and may actually enjoy walking.

I'm agreeing with decent minded ppl here, saying that last pic is disgusting....that chick is using the dog as a fashion accessory....dogs love to go for walks, & doing that is stripping it from it's natural abilities...as far as the first 2 pix, once again...dogs have legs for a reason, why the hell carry your pooch around? it's simply stupid, hopefully owners will get pissed on one day while carrying their dogs, lol....I, myself, use a dog sweater on my chihuahua...but that's cuz she's always cold & she does love to be in it, heck, she even brings the darn thing to me so i can put it on her..haha...I only use the sweater to go outside & for rides...all that frilly, fashioned up garb they're selling for the dogs in the other pix are all just for "fitting in"with the fashion of Paris & all them other stars....poor dogs :(.........DreO

you can tell those dogs are thinking "what the hell have i done to deserve this ?" I dont agree with putting dogs in clothes unless it's a hairless breed or really feels the cold then a jumper style is ok.If people feel they need to dress something up and parade it around then go and buy a dolly!

As long as the dog is well looked after and loved then I don't see a big problem. I get ur point and I will not do it to any of my pets, but there are much worse things people can do.
