Sounds to me like your boy might have been bitten by an insect, possibly a bee. One of my dogs got bee stung and his head swelled up. Still, just to be sure, take him to the vet to get it checked out. He might have had an allergic reaction to something in the environment.
Also, get him vaccinated as soon as possible. I know this is what the others have said too, but we say it for a good reason. Vaccinations help to keep your dog healthy. Vaccinations may seem expensive, but treatment for illness is so much more expensive. Prevention is way better than cure, as some things can not be cured, only treated (Heartworm has no cure).
Last point, please don't feed your dog any cooked bones; they may shatter in his mouth/throat, and cause internal damage, which leads to major, painful problems for the dog and very large vet bills. Give only raw bones (these can be bought from the butcher), and they also help clean your dog's breath while he chews away at it.
Hope all is well with your boy, and good luck with the future

Chicken bones are bad for dogs of any breed. The chicken bones are brittle and tend to snap off into very sharp pieces. They could peirce his throat or esophogus or even his lower innnards and cause severe hemmoraging. If you have childrens benedryl in a pill or liquid form try to give him some of it in an eye dropper or unneedled syringe. If it is an allergic reaction the benedryl should work. I once had a dog who was allergic to ants. And do not feed your dog milk. Thier digestive system is fragile when it comes to that. Regular milk particles don't digest very well. If you have to give him something in his water to make him drink use canned mild. Evaporated. That will not harm his system like regular milk will. He will be able to drink Evaporated Milk as long as you dilute it with lots of water. Also if he was playing in leaves it might have been a snake of some sort. If the bite is on his head then don't worry. As long as the bite is above the area of his heart he will live. But as for immediat attention go to a VET. If you can't afford it then try some of the suggestions above.

Your dog needs a vet asap. Milk products are no good for dogs! Also your pup really shouldnt be free to play outside until all his injections are complete as diseases such as parvo can live in the soil for some time. Dehydration can kill a pup very quickly. A water filled syringe can be used to 'force' your dog to get some water. Just put it in the side of its mouth and squirt it slowly. At least some will go down. But please, get him to a vet!

Take him to the vet, immediately, could be numerous things from insect bites on up. Waiting till it "clears on its own" is extremely dangerous, and if you are worried about the cost, waiting will only cost you more as the dog will become hypoglycemic and need to be hospitalized for that as well as whatever the initial problem is. If you are truly very worried, take him to your vet!

if you are so worried, then why haven't you taken the animal to a vet?

hon, the truth is, if he is "just allergic" to something, his throat could close up causing him to suffocate to death.

a person who can afford to buy a dalmation, should also be able to afford a vet bill -- for routine visits as well as emergencies like this.

Probably not a good time to be on YA.................I'd recommend getting off asap and taking him to the Emergency 24 Vet. He's only a baby and he needs to be checked asap.

you have far more problems than just a swollen dog. take him to the vet and stop letting him eat table scraps.
