The Doctor I work for is from India. He is Muslim and speaks Arabic. I don't know that Arabic is his first language. He plans to celebrate Christmas with his employees because it is our Custom. When I say celebrate Christmas with us I mean he plans to give us a gift and maybe have dinner with us. I want to give him a gift and a Christmas Card written in Arabic. I don't want to cause controversy at the same time I don't want to detract from what is Christian. If I posted what I would want the card to say could someone help me to write it in Arabic. If what I write in the card is in some way offensive to the culture or would cause controversy would someone correct me. I like him very much and do want to impress him. Comments are welcome.

I asked Doctor today and his native language is called Urdu. He is not a Christian but says that he wants to celebrate this holiday with us. The reason that I want to write it in his native language is because most people from other cultures are quit pleased when someone attempt to use their language. I think using doctors native language would be a suprise and at the same time he would be flattered that I use his language. He does not work in India he works in the US. I am thinking that I would like to say on the outside of the card, Peace on Earth

On the inside I would like to write, It is a pleasure working for you. I have learned a lto from you and my Christmas wish is to work full time for you. Merry Christmas
Daniel

I don't think that would be nice. Now I just have to find someone who speaks Urdu.

if he is Indian, Arabic shouldn't be his first language
anyway u can write whatever u want, Muslim believes too in Jesus (Issa) and Mary (Mariam), just they don't accept that he's God's son and they don't believe in resurrection

anyway go on and post what u want to write

Its verycommon and normal for a Muslim to celebrate Christmas,ur making this hard on ur self u can give him a card written in English if he knows English, but since his working in India im guessing he knows how to speak Indian right? so writing Arabic in a Christmas card looks like ur trying to hard to impress him since u dont know Arabic.

You can just Write and wish the fellow a happy Christmas and holiday without mentioning Christianity.

I think you are trying too hard to do something difficult, and probably impossible. Muslims don't observe Christmas, so sending him a card in any language would not be a good idea.

Why would an Indian speak Arabic?
Why do you think doing something an Indian 8-year old can do will impress him?
