Raw onions placed sliced on the bottom of feet or under armpits do in fact reduce fever I have done it for all my children seven boys the oldest 21 and my four year old daughter when no motrin was available IT REALLY WORKS. Tylenol never seemed to be as quick or lasting as Motrin for me but the onion helped when we had neither

I am guessing that because onions are full of poison and the skin in your armpit is thin, the poison finds its way into your blood stream.

Canute does not eat onions.

Or hamburgers.

Onion is not a spice

In the Philippines, ordinary students in high school at age 12 to 15, it is a common knowledge that if they are lazy to go to school, and have a good reasons to their parents for an excuse to spare the day for school, they will find a clove of GARLIC NOT ONION....

... in a few minutes...after putting it cut in half lengthwise in their armpit, either left or right...they will feel the change in body temperature to rise slight above normal...the longer you allow it to stay in your armpit, the higher the temperature...

Garlic has faster antisepsis effect when the smell is absorb by the thin membrane of our armpit. It is a best body air vent and absorber of air. Remember, it is one of the common parts to take your body temperature by thermometer. The other is at your tongue, and the anus.

When the antisepsis properties of the garlic absorbs by the sensitive sensors of the armpit, it transmit info to the brain of fighting antibodies...thus your body temperature rises to fight emergence of such wrong signal that your body is being attacked by any viral or other antibodies as the antisepsis presence cause by the garlic is continuously being emitted via skin pores of the armpit. Temperature rises to trigger the white blood corpuscells of the blood to work faster...

Fever is a symptom of your body is in the process of fighting any illness or disorder. that is the best to know if the child is getting sick or ill...most of the time we let it go so sometime to let our body fights any enemies causing some body disorder, thus our temperature rises, water is just being taken to neutralize and balance the body temperature, but meaning the body is fighting....self curing...a wonderful self healing process of the well engineered HUMAN SYSTEMS DESIGNED BY THE CREATOR...GOD!

Garlic is being used in the Philippines as an effective alternative medicine...against cuts or wounds, as a medicine to fight TB...dog bites, snakes bite or other insects. Finely cut and mix with honey, and daily have a table spoon 3 times a day, fights weak lungs and TB bacteria in the immune systems.

Onion is not poisonous as Canute mentioned in his A, its a misinformation, I can't just let it go without correcting. Maybe Canute does not know he is eating daily with onion finely chopped in his HAMBURGER to taste it nice and appetizing. Take away onion in it...what may it taste....your soup is good to taste because of onion. Beef steak is best with sliced onion rings....In any sauted veggie....or any of good recipe....wow with onion suated, or salad....SO NOT POISONOUS!!!

These are among the best spices available in the whole world....must we know them well...onion also is an antisepsis, but garlic is better though small but terrible!
