No matter what culture it is, a father or an elder brother is very protective over a daughter or a younger sister especially the one with gentle personality and beautiful and cute appearance. A father or an elder brother is so protective that he has to know his daughter or younger sister's whereabouts all the time. In some case so protective that not let other men approach. Why is it like this?

It's because your there daughter or younger sister and they dont want anything bad to happen to you. There guys and they know how guys think. So they want to protect you from stupid boys who would "hurt" you. Most guys who see very attractive young women think of one thing. And would lie, or do whatever to get what they want.
And also sex offenders.

It's an instinct,
most of the fathers and older brothers
are too protective, for they know in fact
that their daughter or sister are
too fragile.needed to be taken cared of...
and some of men tends to take advantage of women
i guess this is the reason behind their actions,
you must let them realize that you are
WORTHY of their trust...
and you mean no harm for their loveones....
so that you won't have a hard time
having their permission...
be honest and gentle....

Think yourself lucky to have a parent or relative like this, some parents dont give a stuff about their kids, they just let them run wild
