Ok folks, what proof, actual reliable PROOF is there that YOU exist?

Question

Identities can be faked. Passports, social security cards are for sale on the black market. You can photoshop family photos.
What proof do I have that YOU are actually real and that I'm not just completely alone in this section talking to a bunch of computer generated avatars?

No crazy, I'm not. Subtlety is not one of my strong suits.

I really hear ya.
Not so much proving existance, but, proving identity.
Am I who I say I am.
My wallet was missing, so naturally I had to replace each and every piece of identification known to mankind.
What a paper trail !
Well, I got it fixed, just in time to do it all over again once I moved.
And, as women, we very often will trade our middle initial for the initial of the maiden name
So, we grow up Jane Alice Doe
and become Jane Roberts Doe after marriage. So, the ID cards say either Jane A Doe or Jane R Doe
This happens depending on what info is presented at the desk.
At any rate, I actually have identification both ways.
So, I can't prove who I am to my OWN satisfaction; let alone anyone else's.
I am determined to get it matched- how frustrating.

Well by Occam's Razor one can narrow the possibilities to it being most likely that real people are talking to you since it's the simplest explanation that fits the evidence.

Since you offered an alternative theory of computer generated avatars, I should bring up the Turing test and the fact that it's a non-trivial problem to create a computer program that can fool people into thinking it is real. Then there is the problem of why would someone put so much effort into fooling you into thinking you were talking to real people in the first place? It appears your alternative theory is by no means simpler then the theory that it's other people you are talking to on the internet.

In which way would it change your behaviour the 'fact' that i don't exist? I am not going to convince you that i am who i am, i let you think i am not. No proofs = Suppositions.

Suppose whatever you like, as long as what you think i am is a real possibility (ie: I can't be Superman, a Guy without access to the net, You, etc.).

The only proof that I have is the evidence left by my passing, the impressions that I leave on world. I have no other proof of my existance. ( Even this could be a part of the Matrix!)

I think the first clue is that the 'computer generated avatars' are all fighting against one another. I've never seen bots do that anywhere in yahoo. Second clue is we are not spamming you or trying to swindle money from you. (Well, at least I'm not).

Even a fake ID that contains a photograph, even if not the individual the person in the photo is still real someplace.

It actually gets worse than that .On an atomic level matter is mostly empty space so even if I am real , my appearance of being solid is a cosmic illusion
