Immature??

I feel stupid typing this, but...
There's this guy I know. When I'm with him he's usually really flirty and playful. He playfights with me and leans on me and holds my hand. And he's never like that around other girls (says his bestfriend). But then when I'm talking to him on aim or something he usually says stupid things and blocks me for no reason. And I honestly mean no reason.
He tells his friends I'm 'boring' and 'annoying' but even the ones I've just met tell him he's lying and that they can tell he HELLA likes me.
But it's so stupid, and he's so bipolar.
Is this normal? Am I missing something?

I don't call him or im him or anything.
He'll im me.
Then its casual 'whats up? what are you doing's'. We talk for a second and then he blocks me.
His friend, who I talk to more than him, was with him today when he did it.
He said the guy was like 'DUDE WATCH THIS!!1 'SHUT UP ***** -block-' and thought it was funny.
He's not 5 years old, but he acts like it.

you're just saying he's moody. Well let him be. It's not your prob. You can't change him. If he's still worth being with, be with him, at least to the extent you find it rewarding. Take it for what it is. End of the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Sorry.

Yeah just like girls, guys can be just as confusing...if not more sometimes. Makes you wonder though, I mean everyone says guys are so "simple" and "laid back," yet...I find that slightly hard to believe, especially when you bring up a topic like this one.
Maybe he's unsure of whether or not you like him the way he likes you, you know...as more than a friend or something. Or maybe he just doesn't know how to really respond to you sometimes when you two talk to each other. Although randomly blocking you for no apparent reason is a little out there if you ask me and it's pretty rude.

So with that "blocking" in mind right now, I do have to ask you though...do you always find the need/want to talk him practically 24/7?
I'm thinking that the reason(s) he could be blocking you like that is because maybe you come on a little too strong when you're around him and perhaps when you're not around him. Guys need their freedoms and their space, they don't like to be tossed 20 questions every 5 minutes or so. Plus they can't chat non-stop like us girls can either, when you talk to him...he'd rather you just get straight to the point..then go in circles with him and tell a life story. Do you know what I mean?

*Think about it for a minute and take a trip down memory lane and try and think if you've let yourself accidently fall into being "annoying" etc. I mean maybe you unintentionally have done it.
Find your so called faults in that aspect and just fix them, I wouldn't worry about this guy too much though. It's silly, anyways next time he blows you off like that...just don't talk to him. You don't have to be rude or anything, just simply let it slide and go out and do your own things...then when he realizes that you don't "need" or have the desire to have to talk to him all the time, he'll get curious to know what's up with you and give you a call.

*Just smile and be nice when you do see him, and do say *Hi* once in awhile but nothing more.

No, you said it all when you said that he was Bipolar. He is probably not taking his meds, or they need changing. I would suggest you just find a new friend to talk to.

Yes younger men will be "mean" to a girl sometimes when they like her.
