I know you need a license to get married, but a permit to date?

You could always try public transportation. Girls don't really care if you can't give her a ride home. Trust me, those who do are just shallow and not worth being with.

Another alternative is to set up dates at each other's houses or go places within walking distance or go take a stroll through the park. A walk together can be very romantic if you do it right.

I suggest you talk with your mom about her protective attitude. Find out her reasons for not letting you get a permit. Come to a comprimise after talking everything through. She may be in the right if you're not mature enough to handle driving or take it seriously. I'm not saying you are, I'm just trying to see things from your mother's point of view :)

Best of luck! I hope you have a great day!

Patience, patience. You will be driving soon if you don't drop dead sooner. Why not get in some study time with your gf after school? Go for walks. Meet her at the diner. If you aren't old enough to drive, you need to go slowly with the girls because it will be awhile before you are ready to get married and have a family. Remember that.

Depends on your age.
If you're 18 or older then YES, it's sad that you haven't gotten out on your own and allow your mother to control your every move.
But, if you're under the age of 18, she's your parent and therefor makes the decisions which you have to abide by.. any girl that's into you would understand that and still want to date you.

Yes, you should definitely avoid going on dates with your girlfriend because you are not old enough yet. Not old enough to have a girlfriend, not old enough to have a permit, not old enough to drive on your own, not old enough to be polite when speaking of your mother, and not old enough to realize that a mature, responsible person knows that being able to drive does not depend on another adult and also knows there are alternative means to getting around besides driving a car.

If you have friends to drive you hang out with the girl and a couple of buddies or something.. If not just ask her to come to your house or set up a day to go to hers!

Nope, and if she has a problem with that, ask her to drive...you're still young it's ok, it's not like you're 25 with no car or anything....even then, if so..it's called take me as I am....
