get a programming degree and learn how the particular device communacates with the pc.... i dont think thats what you wanted to know tho

you get the drivers from the website that belongs to the company that made the component your wanting the driver for

you must install the drivers , for each and every software or hardware there are drivers available to be loaded especially when it is a purchased hardware. eg in your situation if you bought windows xp software cd you will have those particular drivers loaded on your computer after loading the software. you can also udate your software for new feauters on www.microsoft.com
