Hmmmmm, it's a toss up between two in the same vein. The first is "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth leaves everyone blind and toothless" (I think Ghandi said this). Sort of the logical result of revenge. Everyone dies or is injured or saddened or whatever when you try to exact revenge. I can't remember where this is from. I heard it years ago.
Anyway, the second is a section from the Christian Bible: "And oft have ye heard it said, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, but I say unto thee, whomsoever shall smite thee on thy left cheek, turn to him also thy right. And if any man sue thee for thy cloak, give unto him thy shirt also. " Matthew 5:38-42 KJV. I don't have my Christian Bible handy at the moment, so I don't know if I put in everything, but that's the gist of it. And I love the language in the KJV. :)
In other words, don't retaliate, forgive. Never seek revenge. Instead, "kill" them with kindness. I think Abraham Lincoln said that "the best way to destroy an enemy is to make him a friend." Jesus taught peace, love, understanding, and tolerance. Not vengence, judgment, restriction, and hate. So do the Hindu, Islamic, and Buddhist writing, just to name a few.
Another one I like that is unfortunately quite true is "Perception is Reality." An employer told me that years ago, and I didn't believe him. I've since found out that he was 100% correct. Don't know if this is considered a proverb or not, but it ought to be. What people think is what they believe regardless of what is true or not. Sad, but a good lesson.
Good journeys, All!

So many....
Proverbs 18:10, "The name of Jehovah is a strong tower. Into the righteous runs and is given protection."
(It shows that knowing and using God's name is a necessary part of our worship.)
Proverbs 16:18, "Pride is before a crash, and a haughty spirit before stumbling."
(It shows the importance of humility.)
How could I forget Proverbs 27:11, "Be wise, my son, and make my heart rejoice, that I may make a reply to him that is taunting me."
(We have to resist Satan to show that we are on God's side! And it proves that God rejoices over our positive actions.)
Proverbs 31:10, "A capable wife who can find? Her value is far more than that of corals."
(Need I explain? Eventhough I'm not married.)

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. As humans we no nothing unless we know God, he is our rock and our salvation, the smartest man on this planet, is a man who bows to his Saviour Jesus Christ everyday and asks for forgiveness and Lord, be merciful to me a sinner.

You reap what you sow
has important meanings for our this life as well as life in hereafter.
Meaning
If we do good deeds, obey to God and live life in this world the way He tells us to live then we are rewarded Heaven in hereafter.
If we commit crimes against humanity and other creations of God and disobey every command of God, we surely end up in hell fire.
