i'm riding 70% road and 30% off road
its about 40km to go to a trail and go home
trail riding will be about 20km
and sometimes night road cycling with it
i dont have a roadies.
nevegal is really good for muddy off-road to me
but being riding so much on road
will it wear out very fast? nevegal is not cheap
cant possibly change every month
i know its hard to say how long it can last
just tell me around how much faster it will wear out compared to other knobby tires.

I have some Nevegals. They have lasted me a while because I haven't used that bike for a while :P

Theyre not long lasting, specially for road use.

The difference between both types (stick-e vs DTC) is that the Stick-e has a softer casing which sticks like glue, while the dual compound has the stick-e compound on the edges and a harder compound at the center knobs. This makes for a tire that doesn't have the tracktion as the stick-e, but is longer lasting.

I have a 2.3 Stick-e on the front and a 2.1 DTC at the rear and I really love that setup. But I don't use the bike for road.

Look at the Schwalbe Nobbie Nick, that's another tire I'm looking forward to.

While I can't answer about your model tire, any mud type knobbie (with large open knobs) wear fast on the road. If you ride to the trail there is nothing you can do there. But if you road ride otherwise, many people (me included) have a 2nd set of wheels with slick road tires to use, saving the knobbies and making a much better, faster road ride.

Probably 90% the same as other standard mountain bike tire.
