Depending on how well you know them and what your own budget can reasonably afford I suggest $50 to $100, which is probably what you'd spend for a gift of "stuff".

It depends how close you feel to them. Family? Friends? Work Colleague? I'd usually contribute as much as I'd budget for a nice wedding gift.
Usually between £50-75 depending on how well I knew them. More for family and possibly slightly less for a work acquaintance
It's difficult for us to judge when we don't know how well you know the couple.

I agree with whoever said the price of your dinner plus a little more. This is what i usually do. Weddings are expensive, so I try to offset the cost of mine and possibly my guests dinners.

Thats's just rude to ask for money, but if you want to, how close are you & can you afford it? Think what would you give as a gift & give the amount it would cost.

$50 is the standard. Give or take around that dollar mark and you can't go wrong.
If you'd like to personalise your gift, you could wrap the $ in a nice ribbon and drop it into a little bottle with the bride and grooms names attached at the lid like a message in a bottle idea. cute.

The best thing would be to give them in foreign currency of at least 100 dollars because of the falling dollar. If you really care, give them 250.

The standard amount to put in for a wedding is the amount of your dinner, plus a little extra. If you are paying for yourself and a guest, you have to put in the amount of the dinner for both of you (per plate), plus a little extra.

If you are by yourself, $50. If you are going w/a date, $100, $150 if it's someone close to you (family)
It's really your choice! You know what you can afford!
