hi, ive been trying the nation of islams diet for 1 month
eating 1 meal a day of navy bean soup, whole raw unsteralized milk, cranberries, whole wheat bread with butter

and it seems that i think clearer, am more devoted in my school work, i can remember more than i use to, and i have more energy, im starting to wake up 3-4 hrs after i go to sleep feeling ready to go, my face is more clear, and im seeing farther

how come i feel better eating 1 meal a day than eating 3 or more meals a day?

My guess is that you were eating a lot of crap before and now that you are on this diet, you are eating a lot healthier.

Junk foods have a huge psychological effect on us, and more often then not if you eat a lot of junk you tend to be a bit lazier. So with this new healthier diet your body is feeling better and that's why you are more focused.


HOWEVER that being said the diet that you are on is absurd to say the least. You should never EVER get just one meal a day, it is very unhealthy. Please email me and I can explain to you in detail why it is so unhealthy. Onyx234@yahoo.com

It could be that you are thinking about eating less because it is already planned. Also, if you used to eat a lot of processed foods and simple sugars, you could just be feeling what it's like to eat REAL foods.

However, I wouldn't expect to do this forever. Your body would do better if you spread this food throughout the day to keep your blood sugar levels consistent (read up on glycemic index). Also, you need more variety to make sure you are getting all your necessary vitamins and minerals, and you need more milk than most people can drink at one meal (probably 3-4 cups at your age). I hope you're drinking water throughout the day, too.
