You can raise some funds by maybe having a cook out or car wash or just visiting neighbors and asking for odd jobs around the house, when you tell them what you are doing they maybe very interested, good luck and God Bless!!

You gain funds through being a credible, well-run organization and networking with other NGOs/Nonprofits, representatives of the media, corporate representatives, government officials, university representatives and small businesses. If your organization has an excellent reputation, can show its financial accountability on paper (and on the web as well), parters with other organizations (at least sometimes), frequently invites the general public, other NGOs, representatives of the media, etc. to view its excellent work, and is talked about in glowing terms by those it serves, you will find funds for your organization to help children in Sri Lanka.

you can become a child sponsor through World Vision, it has children in different countries that need help and support, not just for themselves but also their villages etc., It is great being a child sponsor knowing that you can write to them and that they write to you as well as getting updates on their progress.
