The articles of faith, found in the book: The Doctorine and convenants, give a great, though broad scope of what we believe, and what we value as our "virtues."
1. We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost?.
2. We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression.
3. We believe that through the Atonement? of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
4. We believe that the first principles and ordinances? of the Gospel? are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance?; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands? for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
5. We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy?, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority?, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
6. We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles?, prophets, pastors, teachers?, evangelists, and so forth.
7. We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy?, revelation?, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
8. We believe the Bible? to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon? to be the word of God.
9. We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
10. We believe in the literal gathering of Israel? and in the restoration? of the Ten Tribes; that Zion? (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon this the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
11. We claim the privilege of worshiping? Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
12. We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
13. We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Thirteenth Article of Faith
We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men. Indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul: we believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
Hey, April, I think you need to qualify those "statistics" (who was it who said, there are lies, damned lies, and statistics?). Among Mormons who marry in the temple, the divorce rate is about 6%.
And just because there are more Mormons in Utah than non-Mormons, don't @$$/u/me that this means that this applies to MORMONS.

Having studied Mormonism for most of my life, I can tell you right now that they are NOT polygamists. That trait belongs to an offshoot called the FLDS church.
Mormons believe in the Lord God, his son Jesus Christ, and servant the Holy Ghost. They believe in having a strong, loving family comprised of a mother, a father, and their children, and in spending quality time with one's own family. They believe in finding faith and happiness through soul-searching, prayer, service, study of scripture, weekly church attendance, and finding a spouse with whom one can be married and sealed to for time and all eternity. They also study religious texts other than the Bible, including the Book of Mormon, and modern-day revelation from their prophet, currently Gordon B. Hinkley. A good way to find their faith in a nutshell is to look up their Articles of Faith.

“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
“And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
“And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity” (2 Pet. 1:5–7).
The virtues outlined by Peter are part of the divine nature, or the Savior’s character. These are the virtues we are to emulate if we would be more like Him
This was part of a talk given by the prophet Ezra Taft Benson.
The 13th article provides a special insight into how we should conduct our lives and present ourselves before the peoples of the earth. It reads: “We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things
This was in a talk given by one of the apostles, L. Tom Perry.
These both sum it up pretty well, esp the 13th article of faith.
