It's not really enough just to say a prayer and you're now a Christian. You need to learn about what being a follower of Christ is. The best way to do this is to read your Bible daily and pray. Also, you will need to be discipled by other Christians. Going to church is great but I would encourage you to join a Bible study, where you can ask questions and find out how the Bible applies to you and your life today. Check out some Bible based churches who believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, was God and a man at the same time, was crucified on the cross, and raised himself from the dead, and now sits in Heaven.
You are now Satan's (the devil) enemy and will be a prime target. Please do not wait to get involved in a Bible study with believers because Satan will do everything to cause you to doubt yourself, your decision and who Jesus really is. You need support and knowledge, fast!

Just ignore your feelings! the Lord will take over your situation as all new Christians are like a diamond in the rough. The Lord knocks off all the rough edges and begins the "refining" process. I want you to simply "let go and let God". He knows all and he has tour situation well in hand even though you may not think so. What you are experiencing is just a phase as many of us went through the same thing. Just trust the Lord with your case as he is far bigger than any problem we face. God Bless!

You know when you meet someone new and you know that many people know that person, and they all have fun stories, or memories that they share with you? You spend a little time with that person and you just don't see what all the fuss is about? Well, usually over time, you get to know that person and by asking questions, spending time, etc. you begin to find what makes that person special to you. I think that a relationship with God is created in much the same way. You hear about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit - and there's so many cryptic stories (parables) and it's hard to know what it all means. However, when you start to look for God/Christ in your life - you will find more and more that there is so much being done in your life that you may have taken for granted. I would also suggest asking God/Jesus to help you learn more and find meaning in your current relationship.
Some people see God as their spiritual Father - someone they go to for guidance or saving from mistakes... someone to go to when you need forgiveness. Consider Jesus as your friend/brother and you'll soon find the saviour side of him is a very precious gift - as someone who donates an organ, or gives money to the poor, when they really don't have it to give... Can you accept that someone died for you and loves you unconditionally? Yes... can you really understand the significance of that when you don't really "know" him? Maybe not... so I'd suggest reading your bible, talking to others who feel very strongly about Christ, maybe finding someone who can talk about being saved from drugs, etc. You will start to learn more about Christ and see how he has been involved in your life. I think that people question God and Jesus and anything that cannot be seen, felt, touched... but because of the spiritual component, it requires faith and trust, and if you believe in the bible, read it and you will find the answers.
In fact, here's a good passage for you to read... you asked... and answers are given to you... it's no accident... and I think you will find your answers give you more than you hoped for:
"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened ... If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!" (Matthew 7:7-11)
I hope you find what you are looking for.

First things first... do you ever buy something without doing research on it. Or do you buy food that you have no idea how to cook without a cookbook?
Putting faith into something that has something to do with your soul and spirit is a pretty big thing. However, the cool thing about being human is that God gave us the gift of choice. We are never too late to change our mind or faith in something.
Why is it that you put your faith in Christ anyway? Is it because someone said something cool that made sense to you at that time, so you think it was a sign?
Or was it the right thing to do because everyone else was doing it?
Ask yourself, why has my flame and fire died down when I accepted Christ. It's because that is not your path perhaps.
A good way to test your faith, is to ACCEPT who and what you are. The only way to do this is to believe in WHO AND WHAT you are. Look to the beginning of things, such as your past.
When you see the path that you have walked, you will know which way to go.. everything on your path should be livable, and what you know.
When you found Christ on the way, all He wanted to do was just join you on your walk... What people do, is we tend to put our faith in others, when we should be able to walk up and down a path and accept and show the ropes to ANYONE who want to walk with us.
Jesus did this. His path was so narrow, yet firm and straight. He wants us to make our paths in the right direction, but parallel to His.
Your path should be soo close to his that if you decided to play hopscotch back and forth the paths, you could do that.
When you lack something in what you do, you have to know that your past is the answer.
I have a law that I came up with myself through Christ... Ocean's Law (that's me) concept, principal and morale. These 3 things are "Ocean's Law #1.
I hope this helps, but either way, know that God wants you to be strong in who you are, and use Jesus as the example.
I have more teachings with scripture and what I have done with my past in reference to the Bible.

We do not serve God by feelings.
If you prayed and really meant what you said, then you are saved.
The devil will try to make you doubt and then send people your way saying Jesus is not real, Christianity is a crutch, ect....
Jesus heard your prayer, just keep praying and reading your Bible. Sometimes we feel nothing when we pray, other times we feel His Spirit all over us.
Keep the faith and believe.
You made the right choice my friend.
God Bless you and your walk with the Lord.

Satan will place that kind of doubt in our mind and heart. He is very good at it. You have to pray to Jesus to remove this from you and to fill your heart and mind with the blessings and teachings of him. If you truly love the Lord, and I believe you do, then he knows what is in your heart. Read your Bible, you should have a hunger for the Word, and pray and seek God, and that doubt that Satan has placed there will go away.

It is not as hard as some people would have you think. First ask your self, do you believe that God exists? And then ask your self if you believe that Jesus died for our sins? If the answer is yes to both, then just talk to God as you have talked to us. God will guide you if you ask Him, but He doesn't force you. So just open your heart and mind to God and He will help, all you need to do is ask. And yes, maybe you should find some one who you can trust with the truth, and ask them for their help and guidance.

I can snap at people who force it upon others who are simply not spiritually mature for such things. Spiritual growth can no more be made to go faster than physical growth. Don't be impatient. At least you have good intentions, but don't expect the blinding white light that St Paul saw, okay? Persevere in prayer and good works. Have hope that one day, your spirit will find answers to your questions.

Don't be confused, talk to God just like you are speaking with us, ask Him to lead and guide you. Read His word and pray every night and every morning.
You will become full in Christ as you grow in maturity with our Lord.
Prayer is always the answer to everything!!
