Why not just say - God, or whoever you are, a lot of people say that you are real. A lot of people say you aren't. I don't know who to believe because people are liars, thieves, wicked and evil in all situations so why not in religion? I would like to know the real truth, as it comes from you - not Jimmy Swaggart, Tammie Faye and Jim Bakker, Jerry Falwell - no but from you alone. If you can show me your real nature in the next few days, I will never ever believe a man or woman again who claims to know you but then goes about their life setting nothing but bad examples.
Of course this would require an open mind and so many people who just can't believe in God don't have the ability to open their minds. You're missing out.

I didn't ask for a critique of my wording, attitude or whatever. In every case, where people have asked God to show Himself and had an open mind they got their answer. Just because it wasn't the answer their spoiled brat behinds wanted does not mean it isn't real. How about just worrying about how my heart is concerned for people who have based their whole belief system on the mistakes of humans throughout history.

It is sad that a whole lot of the people who answered this question didn't even realize what I was asking. Maybe that is why the world is in such horrible shape - we don't take the time to understand someone else and we certainly don't usually give the benefit of the doubt to anyone of a different belief system. Everyone just seems in a big rush to be offended by someone. Why?

We are told in the Bible to put our faith in no man. If you truly want to know God. The only example I can give you is my own. By the way I agree with you about the examples set by those who use the Word of God and the media to enrich themselves. I can only relate to you my lwn personal experience. OK, here goes:
God, or whoever you are, a lot of people say that you are real.
I say this with an open mind.
And if I get no response by this time tomorrow, will you then agree with me that there is no god?

This is what we should be asking - The truth.
Not the truth according to some man that is profiting from the ministry , but the truth according to what God says is true.
This truth can be found in the Bible , but to benefit from it , we MUST be willing to abandon what is false.
For example, the Bible says that when a person dies they are conscious of nothing at all , just dead in the ground....many preachers say that good dead people go to heaven to be with God and the bad get sent to hell to be tortured .. So who will you believe , mans words , or Gods word ?
The Bible also says God and Jesus are two separate individuals , but many preachers say that God and Jesus are one , in some sort of trinity arrangement .... so who will you believe , mans words , or Gods word ?
If you reply -- GOD , then please feel free to email me for more information.

I'm not missing out on anything. I never quit trying to find something that seems so magnificent as an all-loving, omniscient protector. I mean, why WOULDN'T I want that? Every day I look, and every day the believers I find are lost puppies or evangelists in their own right. Every night I meditate and I feel more power in humanity and less in the need for a 'God' to make me feel loved. I do not deny what we call 'spiritual' experiences, but I find them to be part of human nature--we are naturally inclined to look for explanations, feel things beyond ourselves, and look for guidance. I just don't feel that these experiences are fact enough to prove that the thing we are looking for or feeling isn't anything more than the power we reach within ourselves.
Believe in yourself before you try to believe in God. That's believer's biggest mistake. You're missing out.

This is an interesting question. I think God would answer it though. maybe not in the way you think, and you probably shouldn't put a time limit on it, and then you'd have to actually do something, like research different religions by actually meeting people from it. God will do his part if you do yours. And yes, you are right, you'd have to have an open mind.
As for me, I've already found the truth. God has presented it to me, and so it is.

I think God is already proving his reality to you, because of your desire to know if he's real or not. Ask God anything-He loves you so much and wants to know you to know him.
Please print this and keep it for the next few days-its an example of a prayer of salvation, you will be in my prayers, but please keep in mind that God does use people sometimes to prove his reality
Have you ever accepted Jesus in into your heart? If not, I would love to give you the opportunity to do so,
Pray something like this-
(example feel free to use your own words)
God , you loved me so much that you sent you son to die for my sins so that i can have eternal life, and not have to experience eternity in hell. There is nothing I can do to earn salvation. I believe and confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is Your son, the savior of the world. I believe that he died for my sins, paying for the price of them all. I believe that you raised him from the dead, and he is alive today. I am a sinner and i ask you to forgive me. By faith i receive Jesus Christ now, as my Lord and Savior and I will spend eternity with you-thank you Lord-In Jesus' name amen.

I don't see anything wrong with this. God knows you want to be close to Him and your prayers make His heart smile. God bless you, and keep it up.
